Its been almost 20 years since I saw this. All the Clerks films are a fun watch but this is the best one. The others are in color too! As somebody who has worked convenience stores /gas stations. I can confirm that conversations like this happen all the time. That was a enjoyable reaction! These films are part of a whole universe that somebody commented on earlier. Its like, the Avengers films but instead of super heros, its just, Jay and Silent Bob going through lifes ups and downs.
