2016-04-13 15:40:47 +0000 UTCIts ok I got the joke, but felt this was a good place to explain why all the people who are legitimately telling me why they won't be buying one isn't of much interest. My watch ended up costing me approx ยฃ200 as I offered to pay the postage and then I got hit with ยฃ130 import duty....so I do hope quite a few people watch this video....it'll probably take something like 200,000 views to pay for itself.

2016-04-13 12:47:33 +0000 UTCMaybe I didn't make it clear that my comment about not buying one was 'tongue in cheek' (a la your muppets segment). Strangely, I had been tempted by the Tesla 3 a few days ago and my finger was hovering over the ยฃ1000 deposit button. What put me off was that 200,000 people had already put a deposit down, so therefore the chance of getting one within a reasonable amount of time was quickly receding. At least that gives people a chance to save up the required money I suppose!

I think this is one of those things where if you have to think about whether you can afford it..then you can't. I saw how many thousands of people reserved the new Tesla car...so there's plenty of people out there who have a different relationship to money compared to you or I.
