Hope you are doing well, we have a new family member, his name is Bart and he and his girlfriend are from Amsterdam and thinking about to set sail as well. Yesterday we splashed the Perfect Sense into the water again and that was a very special moment. After all the hard work and nearly 11 months on the hard it was time again to float.
In this episode we made it all the way to Turkey! We crossed the border and got almost home, we could smell the Perfect Sense the moment we entered Turkey. But first some Mozart Kugeln to celebrate we crossed the border with Turkey. When we checked out last year Turkey Gerben had some difficulties because he didn't checked out the year before so "officially" he stayed in Turkey for more than a year but luckily all went well.
We had some long drives but so happy to be close again to the Perfect Sense, we drove more than 5000 kilometers, crossed 8 borders, 9 countries during Covid-19 and left during the lock down in the Netherlands. We will never forget this and we are happy with our new lifestyle. Being on the road is nice but nothing beats the sailing life for us.
Still a lot of projects to finish before we can set sail, installing Lithium Batteries, Navigational Instruments, we need a complete new setup, new sails and new rigging. In the meantime Rianne started with her first coaching client again after a sabbatical of almost a year. It's really a rollercoaster and we are looking forward to slow down, to drop anchor in a beautiful bay, watch the sunset and sleep.
