Sailboat project - TEAK DECK & road trip Istanbul Se.1 Ep.22

We had to wait for the caulking (waterproof filler between the teak) to dry so we decided to do a road trip to Istanbul. In Alacati we met an interesting man, he was there to learn surfing because he wanted to learn sailing and thought let's start with the basics. After our conversations he got ignited and started Feeling the Breeze, went for sailing courses and is now in the process of buying a boat, amazing!

We met him at the ecological farm and we immediately had a connection. He is vegan, full of energy and has a special view about life. It turned out he went down with his business several years ago, made a big turn in his life and is now more successful than before. He is from Libanon and living in Istanbul and he invited us to his apartment. A city of 15 million people (without tourists) and we drove Lilly through all the narrow streets and almost inside the Blue Mosque, some different kind of off roading ;)

While the Perfect Sense is getting in the final stage to leave the Hangar she still needs a wrap and the new antifouling. We are super happy we made some long term amazing deals with Raymarine (navigational electronics), SuperB (Lithium Batteries) and Ancora Health (a startup almost founded on the Perfect Sense two years ago). So we will get a complete new setup of electronics, lithium batteries and new sails.

Hope you are doing well and Covid is not impacting you that much. Today we decided to spend the winter in Turkey, this because we can't enter Greece and the temperature during winter time is one of the best here in the Med. Don't worry, it will be a lot of sailing, beautiful bays and amazing wild life.
