Refit officially finished
Added 2021-02-10 18:28:51 +0000 UTCYesterday evening we said farewell to all the people from the boatyard, the Marina, the sailors pub and everyone who was involved in this project. Since Benjamin is the joy for many people it was quite emotional.
After a Raki with the boatyard owner we officially ended the refit. We shared some sailors stories and talked about the Atlantic crossing, his boat is now in Panama and he will start sailing her back to Turkey from March. This morning we had some small hick ups, we had to wait so we gave the Perfect Sense a wash and left the marina after lunch.
We did it all by ourselves, no help and hoisted the sails, we had a steady wind between the 11-17 knots and reached a speed between the 5.4 en 7.8 knots. We couldn’t have a better start.
We are very happy with the complete setup, the new sails are magnificent and we immediately Felt the Breeze, this is where we belong and after dropping anchor in this beautiful bay we love to share this with you. Our FtB family. The real journey started and it is fantastic to have you onboard.
