The root of English Harbour is referred to by an interesting story. During the Second World War, a ship belonging to the British Navy, while fleeing German enemy ships, reached this Cove, a hidden paradise.
It is also a very special place, as it is one of the only two fjords in Turkey with its unique turquoise color of the sea. This unique bay, which has been formed over the years with thin, long, usually very deep and very steep edges as a result of the sea raiding glacial valleys, which is usually seen in northern countries like Norway, Greenland and Alaska. Just magic.
