"The event" in my school was a jock vs skater war started when someone sucked punched a skater girl from behind and called her a dyke. The peak of the retaliation was the star freshman quarterback getting jumped in the parking lot by a 19 year old drop out, out into a coma and never playing ball again. Me and my D&D nerd friends, who usually got picked on by both sides, just laughed at the spectacle and imagined turning it into a table top game.
