Absolutely right. They can't blow up your phone unless they plant some shit in it. Be paranoid--but don't go full retard.

Something I’d be interested to know: is there even a mechanism for these Haitians placed here by NGOs to go back home? As unlikely as it would be, what happens if one calls up their handler and says “I don’t like it here, take me back to Port Au Prince.”? Is there even a remigration program within these NGOs? Because if there isn’t I don’t see how that program differs from what the Qataris do to Indians over in the Middle East, which we functionally consider slavery

Ah, I see. I just thought it funny to think if Saagar as Krystal's husband (as a former BP watcher). He's decent on immigration but kind of caves to Krystal on everything else.

Think bog was referring to Kyle Kulinski, Ball’s actual libtard husband. Saager’s not bad on immigration from what I understand.

“Mentally unfit to stand trial” is definitely patronage. This is how it plays out in Canada: sent to a mental hospital “indefinitely” where they’re observed and managed by social workers, mental health nurses, etc They go before a board, made up of political appointees of “community leaders and experts” to decide if they are still a danger to the community. Surprise! They’re released because of reasons. Now they have a passel of social workers to help them “integrate” back into the community; maybe they’re sent to a group home, staffed by a bunch of recent psych graduates from the local university. Then, when they inevitably kill someone else, there’s the social workers and analysts from the local mental health authority that “research” and write the report outlining all the gaps that should be filled with funding in order to prevent this from happening again. Bullets being cheaper is exactly why that’s not an option

The general you're thinking of is Daniel Sickles. Lots of lore there but big headline is he was heavily involved with the "fortification" of the election in 1876.

From the Wikipedia page on Terence Donovan, the English photographer and film director who directed ‘Addicted to Love’: “ Donovan was married twice. His first marriage to Janet Cohen was short-lived, but he remained married to his second wife, Diana Dare, until his death. He was the father of the musician Dan Donovan, the actress Daisy Donovan and Terry Donovan, a co-founder of Rockstar Games.[12]
He was a black belt in judo and co-wrote a popular judo book, Fighting Judo (1985), with former World Judo Gold medallist Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki.”

RE the discussion on common law early in recording. It's amazing to listen to "experts" on concepts like squatters rights; the way it's layed out as some nearly timeless tradition that all Englishman and their colonial descendents actually respected. Imagine some ornery peasant asserting these rights on any portion of the thousand acre estates of landed gentry in Somerset. Equally so with the thousand acres of cattle country in West Texas. The examples multiply themselves. As for the those who point to successful examples to the contrary, I say fine, but none so numerous as to constitute a hard reality beneath the legal pretension. These fictions are nonsense but not merely nonsense; per Benthem ( in some other context ), nonsense on stilts.
