so, Maarek is more correct when he says Fascists are "counter revolutionaries". I think what Bog Beef finds amusing about Argent's "is it fascist" series is how many things have elements on fascism. I would say that's because the term "fascist" is now just name calling by communists. As Fredo has pointed out- fascism most appears to be a broad coalition managed like a military unit- so to speak of it as an ideology itself i dont think is helpful.

Communism is resentment politics. It started in Genesis 3 when the serpent offered “being like god”. Communism in the modern age started as a Christian heresy (bastardizing Acts 2 “held all things in common”)

Yea good wholesome Christian who creates an all-seeing eye and sells its power to evil tyrants. Very Christ-like

I don’t think being a Girardian is incompatible with being a Christian. Being a gay man with children adopted from a surrogate certainly raises questions.

Just speculation, but Thiel seems quite sincere and it's easy to find clips where his views seem refreshing. However, I can see why someone convinced of the Girardian theory of atonement might be inclined to closely relate a normative tendency to violence with the perceived level of depravity for acts of lawlessness. "A lot of Paul can take a back seat because I already know what the problem is".

Thiel is a Christian, by birth anyway. He claims to be a believing Christian, though I suspect his version is somewhat non-traditional.
