My Hero Academia 2x17 "Climax" REACTION

Basically, Stain has an extremely high bar for what a hero should be. Only All Might and a select few could possibly live up to the level of nobility and selflessness that Stain expects from a "real" hero. He recognizes that he's a villain, and he uses that to try to put forth an ideal of what a "real" hero should be, and that the only hero he deems worthy is All Might, the pinnacle of what a hero is.

I know! I don't even like that particular ship, but their love of it makes me enjoy it so much more. Also, everyone knows that the real platonic OTP is Kirishima and Tetsutetsu.

he saved Deku because he deems him a "true hero", i doubt that he was thinking of Iida in that moment, at least right after seeing Endeavour, but i think he holds on to his ideals and like he said just before to iida, stain thinks that nobody changes their "true nature" that fast and it was only for show

What we saw with Stain there at the end was more of an anime trope to show a character's bloodlust or intimidation. Stain's beliefs and convictions were so strong that it froze everyone in fear. Endeavor and even Gran Torino feeling the same says a lot!

Eww bakuco I prefer deku ochaco since she actually gave him his hero name but at the very least it's not the worst pairing ever and deku does have more options I just think ochaco is too good for bakugo

The part at the end wasn’t Stain’s power, it was just that his pure conviction and obsession with his ideologies was so intense it literally had everyone frozen in fear. Really good imagery and the anime adapted it perfectly!

Re: ships I'm not partial to anyone pairing, but I do like to think of quirk combinations in any potential offspring. For example, wouldn't it be cool if Deku x Ochaco yielded someone like Pain from Naruto? With the ability to pull and push things from her body? What other combinations do y'all think would be interesting?

There's a spin-off series called My Hero: Vigilantes in which Stain appears and the story of his nose gets expanded. I personally have not read the spin-off, but from what I gathered in nerdy research was that his nose was broken by someone and during one of his moral failings, maybe a moral event horizon, he decided to cut off his own nose so that he may never again wear a mask of heroism. Without a nose a mask would not stay on. Pretty cool stuff.

Guys, Stain removed his own nose. It was badly damaged in a fight from his past, so he cut it off himself... I'm saying this, because it won't show up in the anime for sure.

Umm, from what we've seen Stain does not want to kill All Might, quite the contrary. He feels the only one who deserves to stop him is All Might. I can't recall he ever mentioned wanting to hurt the symbol of peace, that was probably Shigaraki. As for the blood red moon and everybody being frozen, that was his fanatic intent coming through and freezing everybody. A popular thing in anime in general is to use it to show killing intent and fear. In this instance it was used to show how deeply and truly Stain believes in what he does and how it affected everybody there, rendering them unable to stand up to him. A really great episode and a great reaction, cheers :)

To clarify for your question, Stain doesn't want to kill All Might. He has simply said the only one worthy of stopping him from killing fake heroes is the TRUE hero, All Might.

Stain acknowledges All Might as a true Hero!! He doen't want to kill All Might. He acknowledges Deku's pure will to save others and saved him from the flying Nomu.

Bakugo and Uraraka is blasphemy, please repent, you can still stop the ship - its still in the horizon.
