If anyone is wondering(SPOILER FOR THE EPISODE), The one million percent isn't Deku going one million. According to the Mangaka, Horikoshi, it is Deku psyching himself up. Hence, the mangaka has promised not to do anything misleading like that again. Overall, the episode was phenomenal and to me surpassed the manga with the final bit. This episode is inspirational. Fighting against all the odds, risking one's life to save someone.

One thing I want to point out in this episode that makes me really love it: at 10:16 when you see the series of colored lights, before it would always stop at the yellow color (All Might) but this time it went to green. Midoriya's truly made the power his own. Proud of my broccoli son!

It isn't the fact that you don't know if he's going to be okay that got me. It's the fact that Midoriya himself, at that moment, really believed this was the end for him and made peace with it. Asking forgiveness from his mom for getting himself killed and leaving her all alone, feeling terrible for letting down All Might despite all the trust he put in him. All of that really broke my heart.

It's kinda hard to tell, but Todoroki and Bakugo were escaping the poisonous mist at that moment. Bakugo was still behind Todoroki so he was still kind of covering his mouth, but as they encountered the villain with the decapitated arm next to him they were in the clear. (Bakugo starts to pull his hand away around then because he can finally talk and breathe easier now)

Glad that once again despite people hyping the episode you were still able to have a great reaction and I'm now of the the opinion that this episode can survive regular great episode pre hype but as a fan of deku this was a great moment as abs pointed out deku says this is the story of how he became the greatest but at this time in the story deku doesn't know that he legit thought he was gonna die him apologizing to his mom and all might is always where I lose it

I'm guessing todoroki is used to the smoke from his flames or some training from when he was younger.

A lot of people compare this moment in the show to the beginning when All Might was motivated by Izuku trying to save Kacchan, now Izuku moved on to push his limits and save others, starting with Kouta. (btw he did not really go 1 million, it was a way to basically hype himself up to push past his limits)

Looking back at the scene, Todoroki and Bakugo basically walked out of the gas range. Known how the surrounding of the villain moonfish is completely normal without a sight of gas.

He didn't run because he knew better. Think back to the exams against All Might. Bakugo pointed out they *couldn't* just run, All Might wouldn't possibly let them, he's too fast and strong. This guy is also a straight power up type, one that can, generally, far outpower Deku right now. Running while trying to carry/protect someone else simply isn't viable, they'd be giving up their defense against an opponent who's superior in speed and power.

The manga for this episode goes more into why he couldn't run away. Essentially he realized that the muscular dude was faster than him at 5%.
