So it's kind of like the capital city of a state in the United States? I think it makes more sense to me now. Miyagi is rural and less densely populated so there aren't as many schools as a more populated urban part of the country. To anyone familiar with the states, would that be like Karasuno is a school from small town Idaho training with representatives from the NYC area who have made it to Nationals before? That's crazy. Especially when you consider they defeated more schools than Karasuno would have to in order to become "state champions" and go to Nationals!
