Your talk at the end about Brita and relationships really hit home for me. Seeking out (whether knowingly or not) unavailable men because of a fear of being in a commited relationships. Personally, between a bad ending for my first ever relationship (and longest still) and a string of short ones after, its hard to trust that someone wants to stay. Its easier to not get close to someone when things get serious vs going for it and ending up hurt again. The idea that....'they like me now, but they will stop liking me, as always'. That fear of maybe not being accepted as you open up more. So so many other little things.
But like you said as well, that why it's important to stop and work on self. That way this type of avoidance can just be a thing of the past :)

Yeah, Dan Harmon wasn't involved with season 4, and it does feel a bit different. Probably the weakest season in my opinion, but it's not like the show just suddenly gets awful. Especially when going through the show for the first time, I still enjoyed watching during season 4. It's more that when looking back, it doesn't feel as clever or funny as other seasons did, and hindsight it's a easier to notice some of those things that were a little "off". There are still some good episodes, I genuinely think you'll still have fun.
And Dan Harmon does come back for both seasons 5 and 6, and they're both great and in my opinion recapture that creativity/wittiness the show is known for. Most people seem to think that 5&6 are a return to form in many ways, but personally I would honestly go so far as to say that the writing in 5&6 is just as clever and funny as it was in seasons 1-3. Some of my favorite jokes and moments are in those last two seasons. Plus I think the ending is really solid.
