Because there are people, yes I know it sounds weird but I know at least two such people, that will start a show wherever it is and go back and watch old stuff later. So every season not only gives the manage more time to continue, but it also reintroduces the characters and I heard they also use it as a way to try out new artists to see if their style fits as artists to contract for the season
