Its messed up and scary even for me as a guy so i can't imagine how you both feel about the use and abuse of those fat burners. Especially for a sweet girl like Hollyhock who had no problems with her weight before coming to LA. Also the fact that it was slipped to her. Bojack remembering her name and everything he said about her was really sweet. With the bond they formed it must of hurt not being able to see her because he isn't her legal guardian despite the genetic relation and feeling she is genuinely his daughter in every way. He even had a panic attack flushing his pills, blaming himself.

Beatrice then does a bunch of pushups after Bojack expresses that it is impossible, and at the end of the episode, when Bojack Comes home, Holllyhock has organized all the loose change in the house (definitely an amphetamine thing) and has lost all interest in food, which we were meant to think was due to an eating disorder (genius)!

2021-05-20 08:21:13 +0000 UTCI understand the shorter conversation for this episode, a lot of it set-up and some story progression so there wasn't much to really talk about. And given the ending of this episode, I understand wanting to quickly get to the next one. A clarification on the coffee, Beatrice had been spiking it with amphetamines since the "stupid piece of sh*t" episode when she started making it daily. Hollyhock even made a comment about the coffee's taste in that episode. There's also a really interesting bit of foreshadowing in the intro, where a psychedelic effect happens after BoJack takes a drink of his coffee.
