I'm glad you guys are enjoying it, i promise it gets way better though lol these first few eps can be pretty cringe but honestly I feel like episode 4 and on is where it starts getting better. So some words that are confusing for non book readers: clave is basically like the head council of Shadowhunters so they make the rules. The accords are basically like the rules, like how they said a vampire kidnapping a mundane is breaking the accords if that makes sense. Downworlders = anyone with demon blood (vampires, seelies, warlocks) and it's like a word to look down upon them since they're seen as lesser beings than those with angel blood
