I agree the first half of Demon Slayer’s first season is really slow paced for a shonen anime (I personally took a while to warm up to the show cuz of that) but the house thing hasnt taken 4-5 episodes haha, it’s only taken 2 and a half episodes to conclude. The reason you feel that way is 1. As mentioned you guys are watching these like weeks apart 2. Tanjiro’s monologues are wayy more than the average shonen protagonist.
BUT the show does really pick up from this point, it was after Zenitsu and Inosuke got introduced that I really got into the show.

Hi guys, thanks for the reaction. I think that phone call at the beginning should be compensated, and you should watch another episode. Just kidding ahah, that wasn't a problem at all, at least for me.
About the episode. So, Tanjiro did take too long to go help Zenitsu, but I think it is because he does not like to fight, he only fights demons. So going against a human is still out of character for him. But since the boar guy wasn't sopping, he eventually snaped. Also, remember that he is probably tired, and he is injured, so it may take more to decide to take action. Took too long I know, but that's just Tanjiro's character.
Also, guys... This is the 3rd episode of the house. Episode 11 they enter, episode 12 was the previous one with Zenitsu's moment and now this one.
I do agree with the too much monologue. I think this is the arc where they do it more. From this point forward the fights will be more intense in my opinion. The next arc is probably my favourite of the season, at least it has the top 3 episodes of this season for me. And season two is even better than season one, especially the fights and animation, it gets super crazy.
Looking forward to the next episode. Happy Holidays!
