It's like everyone is forgetting that Stefan DID do a lot to try and help Damon & Bonnie. He was not lying the whole 4 months.. Literally everyone can fall apart but Stefan, he has to be perfect when no one else is lmaoo. Elena doing the absolute extreme and hardly gets any backlash. His grief for his brother has obviously overwhelmed him to the point that he needed to get away from anything that reminded him of Damon.

If I was Caroline and Elena, I’d have cut him completely out of my life from that point forward. Even if he attempted to make amends. Their feelings clearly meant absolutely nothing to him.

2023-03-11 15:59:15 +0000 UTCThe lying about still looking for ways to help Bonnie and Damon wasn't cool, and Caroline has the right to be mad about that, but him not taking her calls was a choice he felt he had to make to fully start fresh and try to figure out his life without Damon and he has every right to do that, Caroline can feel sad about it but she shouldn't judge him or get mad at him for it, and what truly bothers me about this whole situation is that NO ONE gave Elena shit for literally erasing Damon from her memories which in my opinion is way more disrespectful, but they all gave Stefan hell for just trying to move on, it's double standards and cruel, considering how Damon was his actual brother.

2023-03-10 20:01:27 +0000 UTCHaven’t watched the reaction yet but I just wanted to say because it always bugged me how people reacted to Stefan in these first couple of episodes, I get Caroline being mad that Stefan lied to them about still looking for ways to help Bonnie and Damon, but being upset that he wanted to move on from everyone and everything was ridiculous, out of everyone Stefan lost the most in my opinion, he lost his brother who has been apart of him for 160+ years. He is struggling and trying to figure out how to live, and Caroline and Enzo trying to make him feel bad for trying to figure it out on his own wasn’t cool. They should have definitely tried to understand where he was coming from, he shouldn’t have lied to them, but I can’t fault him for wanting to start fresh.
