2023-03-17 23:53:29 +0000 UTCNot sure if spoilers, they're not really, but just explaning on the different dimensions of life in the show, below. 👇 -------------- Just in case --------------- In terms of levels/planes, so there's the actual world ('life' as you guys called it). 🌎 There's 'peace' ⬆️ which I guess you could think of it as 'heaven' in that sense. The sky/black mist where Katherine and some of the others from the Other Side were pulled to is being referred to as the 'darkness' ⬇️ in the show. In simple terms, we could think of it as some kind of main 'hell'. Then there's the Other Side, which is a purgatory, neither hell or heaven, for supernatural beings. Kind of like a middle ground or a waiting room to heaven or hell - you die, you go there and wander for however long needed as a way to repent until you find peace/finish unfinished business (?), although you can't interact with anyone else on the Other Side (but can see the living world). You could say it's a mild/step 1 version of 'hell' due to this, whereas the 'darkness' being portrayed currently in the show is worse than that, it's like the severe/last stage of hell. Now the Other Side - normally after the supernatural dies, they have to pass through the anchor to actually get in to the Other Side, so you're kind of right in saying that Katherine was kind of in the 'lobby' of the Other Side, waiting to pass through the anchor and get in. I don't know if they have clearly addressed this in the show, but I guess if they don't pass through to the Other Side through the anchor, they don't really get the chance to try and repent on the Other Side and 'move on' - maybe their fate is kind of decided, they're sent straight through to the 'darkness'.

I feel like Shane & the cure made season 4 annoying and after The Originals left it kinda got boring but now it’s picking back up. Super excited for the next reaction video!
