The author of the Twilight Saga Stephenie Myer is or was a mormon. The book’s definitely read like problematic chastity propaganda. Not to mention how weirdly it treated it’s women, black & Native American characters. I will give the actors & directors credit for doing their best to lean into the ridiculousness of it & give the films more of a campy weirdness.

excuse my ignorance but what do Mormons have to do with twilight??

Guess

Sanna

This is one of my fav episodes of season 1 because it explains everything that we didn't know b4 and I think after this episode the show really starts. But I can't wait for the finale episode.

I mean it does makes sense that Marcel talks to the originals like any other vampires because Marcel grew up with them, they were his family and Klaus saw him as a son. He knows that they would never kill him. If marcel died, Klaus would be hurt

Davina isn’t doing expression btw, all the witches in New Orleans practice ancestral magic. She’s just extra powerful because she has the power of 4 “special” witches in one

Tbf, just because the harvest was real doesn’t mean the reaping is. Davina has no reason to trust them after they already lied about killing them. Sophie on the other hand has to believe that the reaping is real because her niece is one of the dead girls. If it’s fake it would mean her niece and her sister died for nothing.

The Travelers being the “Mormons” of witches is hilarious. Speaking of Mormons… Twilight is getting a reboot. 🤦🏿‍♂️

Paris Hardy

The Ancestral well for the witches of New Orleans is separate from the Other Side in the vampire diaries. Think of it as another psychic dimension that the dead witches are sent to after being consecrated into the ground. And yes, there are multiple covens in New Orleans.
