You also haven’t been around all cancer patients so you can’t make the assumption that everyone would do what Caroline did, especially when I have already given examples of people who wouldn’t, and I never said no one would make that decision, I just said it is a stupid decision, which it is. Also no Damon wouldn’t have done it and like I said I actually have proof within the show, also like I said I don’t hate any character and go back far enough and read my comments and you would see I never once said I hated anyone, I even give Tyler his props even though he’s a typically hated character, you on the other hand has talked trash about Damon and Elena on multiple occasions and has stated to hating them so you’re clearly lying about not hating any character maybe you should go back and check your own comments before trying to claim I hate characters. Anyway you might not agree that what Caroline did was stupid, and that’s fine, it’s your own opinion. My opinion is that it was stupid plain and simple, and my opinion will never change, I’m also not alone in having this opinion because TimeSix and many others fully agreed, just like many people agree with you.

Try seeing and working with cancer patients and their families on a daily basis and you would know how wrong you are and how you sound compassionless when you say it's 'stupidity' to make a decision as what Caroline did. Damon would've 100% done the same thing if Stefan was in the same position. Also, I brought up Damon as an example of his relationship with Stefan, just like the relationship between Caroline and her mother. Not sure why you took it as an 'attack' on Damon, it wasn't meant to be an attack, but actually a compliment, he loves his brother and would try anything to keep him alive (which we have seen, he blew up Mystic Falls and killed himself in the process to save his brother). Their relationship is strong, just as Caroline and her mother's became. It's called compassion for their loved ones. Not sure why you took it in a negative way against Damon, you're kind of contradicting yourself. Caroline's decision is 100% realistic of what a major proportion of people in real life do. You do hate Caroline. Plain and simple. I have no hate bias, I don't hate any of the characters, I'm neutral to them all. Hope you have a nice day.

However, in the moment in Caroline's eyes, her mother has stage four cancer and could die at any given moment so of course when she sees any sign of hope, she wants to run to her moms aid while she still can. Whether it was successful or not, I understand her reasoning.

I have family and friends who have battled it and also watched it kill their loved ones, and NONE of us would have done what Caroline did, not if our loved ones life or remaining amount of their life was on the line. It’s stupid and reckless to do so plain and simple. Caroline was dumb plain and simple and Damon wouldn’t have done it and I actually have proof within the show to prove it but it would be a spoiler to point it out. Also no I don’t hate Caroline but I call out stupidity whenever I see it, your the one that seems to be biased because you felt the need to bring up Damon in the conversation he had nothing to do with, check your own bias hate before trying to comment on someone else’s because go back on any of their reactions where I commented on and you would see I never ONCE said I hated Caroline.

Until you're in that position, it's easy to look from the outside and judge people's decisions. Try seeing those affected by cancer (or any terminal or even long-term illness) on a regular basis, you'd probably be surprised by the decisions people make. And what Caroline decided (or atleast what the writers had her decide) 100% reflects those. This was probably one of the, if not the most, realistic scenarios in this show.

Talk about pot calling the kettle black. "Do to your own mother" - do what exactly? She's dying of metastatic cancer. She doesn't have days. She can die at anytime and is already dying in the worst way possible, cancer is no joke. The quality of life of a cancer patient is terrible. To someone that's her own daughter, anything that could help is worth a try, it's not stupidity or recklessness, it's called compassion and empathy. Good for you and your family/friends, however, they don't make up the whole cancer population unfortunately. Try seeing cancer patients and their relatives on a daily basis, maybe you'd understand. The fact that you call this 'stupidity' speaks volumes of yourself. If Stefan was human and had cancer and Damon was in this position, he would've 100% done the EXACT same thing and we all know it. Damon invented the word 'impulsive' in this show. You do hate Caroline, just stating how people see it. It's your opinion, so you do you. Wish you and your family/friends the best, hope they were able to overcome whatever illness they had to go through.

Emotional or not, you WAIT to see the results of that guy first before you do anything to your own mother?!!! And no, not just a couple hours, you wait a couple Days!!!! I have seen plenty of family members and friends go through similar situations with medical solutions to illnesses and NEVER did anything like this, my cousin who watched this with me went through a similar situation with their parent and was PISSED at Caroline for being so reckless and stupid with Liz’s health. Damon also wouldn’t have done it too because he even said in THIS episode, he doesn’t believe their blood would help so he wouldn’t put her life at risk. Also I don’t hate Caroline, I don’t hate any characters from TVD, she’s not my favorite but I don’t hate her, I call out stupidity when I see it, no matter the character and this was stupid plain and simple.

Someone's mum is dying of metastatic cancer and there's something that could possibly help them, you don't think anyone would have tried it for them as soon as possible? "A few days" actually seems like a lifetime for families involved in situations like these, and they would do just about anything to gain more time for them. Be for real. People go for chemotherapy faster than they can finish saying the whole word, and that's something that does actually make you worse or potentially even lead you to an earlier death, which is why it's such a sensitive decision. In a supernatural world, why would someone not go for vampire blood asap, known to be a supernatural healing agent, especially when they're desparate to save their parent? Be realistic of the emotions involved in this kind of situation. I can see any of the characters doing literally the exact same thing for their loved one, even Damon. You just hate Caroline though to be honest, so there's that.

Also forgot about Enzo’s and his Stefan Regina George obsession. I also hated how Stefan just blindly went along with it, and didn’t chastise her for putting that poor man’s life at risk.

I’m not a scientist either but if we assume vampire blood works by increasing the strength of your cells/tissue etc, then it makes sense it would make cancer cells even stronger.

Even if she’d stayed the whole day watching him, she would’ve come away with the same conclusion that vampire blood works because it didn’t go wrong until what seems like the middle of the night/ early hours of the morning
