2023-05-31 03:19:57 +0000 UTCHope you guys keep doing the Scream Franchise, behind the scenes was chaos, so many rewrites of the script. When the character Candy was talking about the rewrites, they were actually were talking about the production of the movie. The 4th one is the last one Wes Craven did before he died. Th 5th tried to carry on his legacy was received well by audience, the 6th was OK but studio didn't have enough money to pay for Neve Cambell so she's not in it. And I agree, the scariest scene is Gails bangs, Courtney Cox even agreed that was a bad look on her. This franchise was supposed to end on a trilogy but the next one will explain why there is another one. π.

2023-05-29 11:37:41 +0000 UTCThis is one is definitely regarded as the weakest of the franchise as a whole and it did have a troubled production. The writer of the first two, Kevin Williamson, didn't write this one and so a lot of the movie feels like someone trying to capture the witty, meta dialogue he does so well and falling really short. It also came out soon after Columbine which is why pretty much all the kills are extremely lackluster, there was a BIG panic over violence in the media. Jennifer AKA Fake Gale is regarded as a highlight by the fandom, happy you guys enjoyed her character. Scream 4, 5 and 6 are all HUGE steps up from this one. 3 is really the only movie in this series that isn't actually good (though I think the consensus is the same as what Kyle said in that it's not bad either, just okay). Almost all the issues people have with this one are rectified going forward (including Gale's hair haha) so I hope you guys get to them soon, I think you'll enjoy them. :)
