Cataphractors

Hello everyone!
With a slight delay I am posting the second March release - Cataphractors. This is my attempt to offer an alternative to Space Marines, and it took much longer than I expected. In general, this task turned out to be difficult and complex; doing something simultaneously similar and dissimilar (to avoid problems with GW) is not as easy as it seemed to me initially.
I took the works of Kromlech and PuppetsWar studios as a guide, i.e. leaned towards a more rectangular armor layout. The armor that covers the torso I partially saw from elementals from Battletech, the legs from stock mecha from the network. The heads are very ordinary, the helmet is a slightly modified Iron Man helmet. In my opinion, it would be ideal for classic terminators from GW.
All the armor is completely different from what GW makes and I hope that there will be no problems here. If the strike comes for this, then I don’t even know what to do next... :D So I will not hide or hide this release, let everything be as it will be.
The size of the cataphractor is around 42 mm, the arms are interchangeable (they are largely identical, in some places the grip and angle of inclination are different; so in theory they are all interchangeable), the heads are interchangeable too, the torso and legs are a single part.
Files with supports will be available later as usual.
The third March release will be approximately around Friday.

I like these, I'd like to see more designs leaning in this direction I think. More high tech armour from forgotten STCs.

2024-03-27 10:15:06 +0000 UTCI honestly don’t know much about GW. I don’t play any games by them or buy any of their products. I use your minis for RPG Campaigns. So maybe expand your design influences and incorporate more mainstream references , like Fortnite, or Overwatch, or Gears of War or Halo…the list of alternatives is endless and more appealing in my opinion. Your style is what separates you, so don’t feel pigeonholed into a corner by GW.

2024-03-25 14:51:20 +0000 UTCThe angular armor makes them look like space dwarfs. Maybe lean into it more in the future and really bulk them up? Or even elongate the arms, like on a gorilla? I remember that in Straship Troopers (the book), power armor had very ape like appearance, so it could work well here. They also carried weapons in the gantlets, no handhelds, (GW took that look and use it in terminators, too)

At this point it's just bullying and fear tactics with nothing of real substance behind as in they won't waste and risk money if they are not 100% sure to win like what happened to EmanG
