Sun's Rest
Added 2023-01-04 08:32:26 +0000 UTCIn the sun-based religion common in the Fifteen Kingdom's, Sun's Rest is the holiday marking the winter solstice, the most important of the winter holidays - unfortunately, that means it's the busiest time of the season for Elaria, and she's got a lot of stress to work out. Even worse, an eclipse is due that same night, another intensely-sacred occasion with even more work required to prepare. Really, she's just entirely overworked, and she's gonna need to relax if she doesn't want to break down.

It's kind of a holiday thing! There might be a second part covering the actual holiday stuff, but I like this angle all as its own thing. It's a different perspective on the occasion, from someone who does all the work and literal magic to make the holidays extra special.
Here we also kinda touch a little bit on the important idea of a healthily-imperfect relationship, though I'd want to go into a lot more detail with more focus on conflict between the two to properly portray that.
Also, the third poll story's gonna be out soon, probably, hopefully. Preparing for an interstate move doesn't leave much time for good organization, not that I ever had a decent schedule or organizational skills to begin with.
