The remake still has sections that make you feel like you're playing a Wii-era game (grinding, graphics sometimes look polygonal, ext) but the combat is much MUCH more simple. After you unlock chain attacks in 2 I recommend looking up a guide. A huge flaw is 2 doesnt present it in the best way and it will make the game much less frustrating once you understand it. I think they expected people to know how JRPGs worked, so for people like me who dont play them I was lost in the dark.
