2019-08-26 23:41:47 +0000 UTCIt's not necessarily Pyrrha's scroll - it's possible that scrolls have some sort of internal memory like a SD card or that he got another and transferred the file wirelessly, like a wireless transfer between two devices over wifi or bluetooth in the real world, either from hers or from his damaged scroll. We are shown in the Volume 4 character short that Ruby has a new scroll (hers being destroyed by Mercury shooting it) and that they work at close range when she talks with the rest of the team. While they've covered long-range communications, the fact that news broadcasts still happen in Remnant means that signals still have some degree of reach, just nothing long enough to cross large distances, plus we don't know all the ins and outs of how scrolls work - only that they appear to be like a more advanced version of a smartphone.

2019-08-23 11:22:46 +0000 UTCSo just to rub salt in the wound, if you look back at the end of vol 3 when Jaune calls Ruby to go get Pyrrha, he throws his scroll breaking it. And with the ccts down they don't have access to their version of the internet. Which means the only way for Jaune to have that recording is for him to have Pyrrha's scroll.
