Smitchellmaps Life Update: Unexpected

Hi everyone.

So, something happened, and I think you need to know about this, because it affects me and I can't really ignore and hide this.

A month ago we found out that my husband Anton have cancer. It's a "good" one, as doctors says, testicular one, early stage. It has a really good prognosis (>90% for all stages, more for early stages), but you know, it's pretty stressfull anyways.

We are back in our country, after a year since our leave, because our families are here, doctors here are better, and some of the medical help is free (though CT and consultations and living cost still quite a lot).

Once again we need to change everything around us, and find the way to be paid for our work, once again. Though there are some options that we know about already.

So, yeah, it's nervous and stressful, but we are moving forward and trying to be positive. We've caught the bastard early and we are getting the best help we can find.

We want to continue doing what we love to do, but we can't pretend things are the same as before. I know that all of you understand if some posts and updates will be a bit delayed. Though I want to keep going with the maps and settlements posts as usual.

Please remember to take care of yourself and your health! We got it early just because we went straight to the doctors once my husband felt that something not right, and remembered about this rare, but still possible condition.

Get yourself checked regularly! and don't be afraid if you find something. Chances that it's nothing are really high, and even if it's something not good - it's one of the most curable c-words.
