2023-05-12 13:42:11 +0000 UTCThe thing the lift operator pulled off the pipes and ate was a mushroom. In reality, it was a prop mushroom made of marzipan. The actor hated the taste of it, and kept spitting it out on camera - requiring several retakes, and ticking off the other actors and crew. As far as the motivation for the attack on the ice hauler is concerned, all will be revealed eventually. Don't worry about missing some details...we all did. Part of the attraction of this show is trying to figure out what is going on. And, if you're like most of us in the fan base, you're going to be wrong most of the time. The Expanse does not follow the tropes of other shows.
