Apparently, there was actual speculation among a small subset of fans that he was actually Dominique Tipper and Keon Alexander's son because they knew each other prior to this. The switch from SyFy to Amazon didn't affect the production at all. Neither SyFy, nor Amazon, actually had anything to do with the production. It was purely distribution.
