Resident Alien 2x11 | Full Episode Watch Along

The Weight

This episode left me worried for everyone' futures. D'Arcy's new goal, the alien hunters reinterest in returning to Patience. Max is "helping" Harry find the alien baby, and Dr. Ethan finds a way out of prison. Or does he?

This and so much more is happening! Are you ready? Then let's go!

Dan is the best. And Asta should've talked to him first about what happened the night of the party. In my opinion.

Then where is her crew? The under-cover alien shot at her. Then her crew doesn't question where she went? It's all a but murky.

The Ben & Kate baby/no baby thing did feel a little like a deliberately abandoned subplot. Was that always the plan, I wonder, or did the writers plan on them having another baby, only to change their minds somewhere along the way? That's certainly how it feels. Weird. Maybe it's not over yet? I dunno. All in all, this felt like a transitional episode, setting up the rest of the season, perhaps. I did like the D'Arcy stuff, but I always like the D'Arcy stuff - she is one of the more complex, and thus more compelling, characters in the show. I do wonder why we didn't see Elliot this episode, though. They spoke about him, but you'd think if he and D'Arcy were in a budding relationship, he'd be around more often. Maybe he had to go guard his ancestral land against the backhoes again. I hope he comes back; I really liked his chemistry with D'Arcy. And at the risk of repeating myself, I must confess again how much I love Dan. He's very wise and a terrific dad. Asta's lucky to have him. The Linda Hamilton plot feels like it's still being rearranged, but I'm okay with that as long as they improve the story line, because it's been pretty weak so far (as we've discussed many times). I am cautiously optimistic, though, with her appearing in the flesh at the 59. Could be pretty good if they handle it right. I guess the upshot of this episode was that a lot of lessons were learned. If those lessons get put into practical use sometime soon, it will be worth it. Let's hope that's what happens.

PPS: Why do you think Linda Hamilton doesn't have a crew anymore? She has a whole army base with potential aliens (inc. Dr Ethan until she had one of her soldiers dump him in ABQ) as prisoners.... Remember? Thought: Did you think she was being shot at by her soldiers? It was one of the bad aliens. Remember?
