Yes, this episode does promise a lot for the season and from where I'm sitting, they do deliver on those promises and then some. They don't make us wait to get answers, most big questions raised in one episode are answered in the next. Can't wait for 5x2! Random comments: The quality of the strictly procedural aspect of the show (which was not great to begin with) will diminish even more in season 5. This has already started a bit in previous seasons but you'll notice it's even more in this one i.e. the murder of the week cases are just excuses to make parallels with the story of the characters and/or bring some comedic moments. In other words, I suggest not trying to solve the crimes from now on. 😉 The wording of the prophecy was: when the devil walks the earth and find his first love, evil shall be released. The "walks the earth" part is why Lucifer going back to Hell seemed to be the solution. Now, Lucifer staying in Hell is more due to the fact that demons did actually come up on earth and he doesn't want the risk of an encore. We're sort of done with the prophecy itself now. Finally, it's worth repeating how handsome Tom Ellis is, literally doubly so this season 😈 I can't wait to meet him again in less than 2 months 🤭
