I have had the background on text buttons disappear as well. Personally, I don't think it's a game problem, but a graphics card problem. Presently I'm using an 8 year old GTX 550, and this game pushes it! It is the only piece of recycled hardware I used when I built my current system about 16 months ago. For the most part, it does the job, but I will be updating to a 1050 or 1060 in a couple of months.

Started a new game and now, after knocking on Emma's door, the background of the choices is gone (text only). This will reset after restarting the game. Also, I've mentioned it before, when buying 2 things at your first visit at the pharmacy, the first item scores +5 with pharmacist, the 2nd item scores +5 with Kelly. This when you don't know her name yet (that's in a later talk with Kelly). So checking whether you know Kelly's name or not can't be done with checking points.

Nah ,it is not a glitch. There are some grass between sidewalk and the road :)

Spotted another visual glitch. This one is very subtle. When the player is outside Jason's home, look at the lower left corner of the screen. Jason is on the sidewalk with his home behind him. On the lower left, there is grass to the outside of the sidewalk. I've pm'd you with a link to a screen capture.
