2017-12-12 15:19:15 +0000 UTCI had the same problem. It's a bug that won't be fixed until version 17. The only solution for me was kinda drastic, but works. Look for this in your PC: C:\Users\(Your user name)\AppData\LocalLow\KsTgames\The Twist Delete the "KsTgames" folder. Replay version 15 until you spike her coffee and save at that point. Start version 16 and load your save. No further problems.
