I'd like to see some random encounters in the home. Maybe when MC goes from 1st floor to 2nd floor he could run into Julia or Janice on the stairs. Perhaps it would be an event trigger that leads to a new scene that MC could progress through. Also another place for a random encounter could be between the living room and pool.
