Concept Art - Shmup Cosplay
Added 2017-04-05 13:00:51 +0000 UTCI thought I'd switch things out and share a page from my SFW sketchbook for a change! I recently wrapped staffing for Anime Boston, and had an amazing experience doing my gang's group cosplay on Sunday. However, they announced next year's theme: To The Stars. I'm the only one in my gang who cares about this genre of game, but I started daydreaming up some designs for actual, could-be-worn-in-real-life cosplay inspired by shmup ships. This is all very, rough but here's what I came up with so far.
EINHANDER - A dark blue kimono with long, billowing sleeves, but one arm hangs out the front sling style (ala Auron from Final Fantasy 10). White mask with transparent green green for eyes and a red forehead gem.
VIC VIPER - White dress, broad shouldered vest, resembling the twin noses of the ship. "OPTION" gems, either as a necklace or as beads in a long ponytail. Either an orange Daft Punk style mask or face gems.
R-9 - White Body suit with flared pant legs and sleeves. Black detailing on the joints. White backpack. "FORCE" necklace, or full size beach ball. As with Vic Viper, blue Daft Punk style mask or face gems.
