A quick fanart of an anime my SO and I started to watch about a month ago: Neo Yokio!

It's one of the best satirical show I even watched, imo!

I was -at first- very confused with the first episode 'cause I couldn't understand if they're actually serious or joking haha! I saw a lot of negativity online, but I guess most of the people didn't see the satire?

I also discovered Jaden Smith (who voiced the main character, Kaz) and he's doing a great job! I only knew him from his teenager phase tweets (which I always found quite unfair that adults were making fun of kids's comments... we all did awkward stuff when we were kiddos haha!) so it was quite interesting to see a rich celebrity playing this kind of character.
The show really break how our "modern society" is completely absurd and broken. They treat a lot of current questions and make you think of our own behavior etc....

So if you like satirical and very absurd anime, I really recommend this one! :)

which make me think a lot of animes and cartoons are changing in the good way, now! I see more and more important characters who are poc, lgbtq+ etc...

There is a huge contrast with hollywood movies (who are still very much heterosexual white male movies)! I do hope hollywood will follow what the animation industry is currently doing, but it feels unlikely :(
