The part where Miguel is admitting joining Gabriella's universe is my fav HC. I think he isn't the kind of character that'd enter in people's life except if he is convinced this is the best thing to do. I think Lyla and him discussed what would be the limit of dimension travelling before they even created their first portal blue print.
Him knowing how impactful a heavy loss is would partly explain why he has done this. He was a broken soul meeting another one. I also don't think he never told Gabriella who he really is. You can not hide something this important. But they could have created something unique and still powerful together.
Maybe we will know how wrong I am in the next movie haha!
He can be reckless but his intentions are good. It doesnt mean he doesn't mess up by acting like this (as we've all seen with Miles) but he also takes responsabilities of his own actions. So I think his relationship with Gabriella is more complex than "oh I replaced my dead alter-ego to have the happy life I never had the chance to get" even if he was partly attracted to it (cause who would give up on having a happy life haha).
I hope you enjoyed this small ansgt part. I didn't want to develop more because, like I said before, it is mostly a "feel good" bonus chapter! :D
Next update should be the last one of captive!! I am excited but I also don't want it to end!
