Should I post wips?

Should I post more wips like the Neu thumbs up to avoid long periods of silence, or should I not spoil anymore?

If you're talking about the full finished game, ideally shouldn't take more than 2 years.

KamuoGame

Hey, I just read your poll, and I have to say, it's a bit strange. Of course, everyone wants more info about the development process. That's why we subscribe to authors — to feel more involved in the journey. Otherwise, what's the point of a community if nothing's happening? I'd love to see posts every week or two to keep things interesting.I'm sure those who went through the last build have already forgotten about the game several times, because the whole cycle has been restarted twice.I'm not even talking about the frequency of news (2-3 posts a year is extremely scarce in any case).

Most of the established ideas being changed makes me kinda sad. I thought the writing for agrss was really good

Devasta The Seeker

Kamuo, a more personal question, when do you think this project will be finished?

MR PASTIPTU

mh, speaking from my personal experience with spoilers thats not the case, but since we are talking mainly about artwork, that is a fair assessment i suppose

Voidkravter

Honestly, it's best for people to forget what the previous version entails. Most of the established ideas would be changed for the actual game.

KamuoGame

I don't think that really works. It would just create fomo for the people who don't want spoilers, and most will ultimately look at it.

KamuoGame

I'm for it. Regular updates, even small ones, keep the hype going and reassure fans that progress is happening imo. It helps me keep more engaged and reminds me to check things out too here that's going on so I can keep supporting the project

PatWolfX

The whole point of a patreon is to post updates on your projects. Work in progress counts as that.

Devasta The Seeker

Tho I don't like spoiler, I suggest posting rough WIPs?

Kato Shuu

i personally get too spoiled by wips. just had to explain my hot take.

Chris P. Bacon

It has been so long since a game build that I actually forgot what the game was called. I'm still very interested, but restarting again really makes me feel like there will never be significant progress. I'll be paying attention as best I can, and if the game ever does come out I'll buy it but I don't think I can keep supporting the project.

Posting smaller Wips will show people your progress, show that the project is alive in a more healthier way with out people questioning about the creditibility of the project. It will increase your comunities excitement, you will give more of an professional vibe and new people will have an easier time to judge your content and if they want to support you. This will sound wrong but listen, people can get influenced (manipulated) with short sneak peaks pretty good, they start yearning, it teases their mind for upcoming dopamine (fun) but they can´t get it yet... it is basicaly cock teasing and it works realy good for advertisment, growth and people don´t fall in to the chaos of impatience. A good example of this method is ViciNeko´s animations, they show many small sneak peaks of their Wip almost weekly and it is pretty effective Maybe don´t liste to me, I had some drinks XD

Terakiom

maybe mark as spoiler so ppl can choose if they want to look at it or not

Voidkravter

I also feel if you post, we can give your our feedback, although knowing your work it's going to be good regardless

Celestial

I agree, and someone as inpatient as I am I would appreciate it from time to time

cooljou2

Mi opinion es si porque así podemos ver como se ven los personaje y como se vería los lugare qué los pone el creador y una pregunta el juego se conectaran y solo por parte

Javier Garibaldi

personally i dont consider it spoiling, since the story and context will still be a surprise
