Prologue

It started when he was surfing the internet with a bored expression on his face, looking for something interesting to catch his interest.

He never thought a simple Ad would get his attention, he usually has his ad-block on, but this Ad somehow got past it.

So he out of curiosity pressed on this pop-up, he never suspected a survey to pop up next, he groaned at this and was about to close this window, but then he noticed what it was about…

"Reincarnation? *Snort*… why not? Let's see the choices…" He started to read where he could end up, and if this survey was trying…

To his amazement, there were hundreds of choices…

*Whistle*

"I guess they were trying…" He was quite impressed with whoever was making this weird survey, for whatever shit and giggles…

He decided to fill it up just to see how far these bored people went…

"Hmm all these Harem ones are quite good, but going to DxD is nope… that world is full of crazy beings…" He skipped DxD…

"Maybe something western… not really... now if I think about it, Marvel and DC have crazy as hell-beings as well…" He skipped the comics…

"Hmm...Pokemon… now that brings back some memories… Ho… what's this… Anime or Game Universe?" This got his attention.

He then clicked on the Anime-verse of Pokemon.

A new page appeared which gave some more choices, like birthplace…

"Obviously Pallet Town… when you start the journey you start from the very beginning…" He selected the original starting town.

After this he selected some other choices like having an affinity with aura and psychics, After picking those, other things instantly got greyed out…

"I guess… they don't want the guy to be extremely overpowered…" He shrugged at that thought.

And for very last was the name…

"Let's go with Ray…" He then pressed Enter…

And nothing happened…

He just shrugged…

"Obviously... It's fake…" He said to himself, since he was on Pokemon subject now, he decided to watch some Pokemon Videos on YouTube…

A few hours later when it was night time he went to sleep…

He didn't even realise that the moment he put his head on the pillow he was out…

When he woke up next time he was extremely weirded out as everything was blurry, he couldn't make heads or tails of what was going on, or where he was in the first place…

A few minutes later he realised that he was nothing more than a toddler…

That means his motor control was non-existent, his muscles were too weak to even move properly…

But then he realised…

If he was in a toddler's body then he was reincarnated… and if he was reincarnated that means that Ad was not fake…

And if that Ad was not fake then he got Reincarnated into Pokemon World…

With his casual choices!!!

'Oh... fuck me sideways…'

~~~~~~7 Years Later~~~~~~

Over the next seven years now named Ray, spent every moment possible to study the world where he ended up.

And just as he expected he ended up in the anime version of Pokemon, which means he will go on his adventure at the tender age of ten…

That, of course, the Earthling inside of him baffled to no end, isn't it too early? But the adults hearing that only shrugged him off…

So he just rolled with them… after all his mental age was above twenty by this point, so it's going to be fine with him.

But someone like his neighbour? The one and only Ash Ketchum? Well, the kid ends up in a massive incident just outside his home city…

In the end, he just rolled with it, he is only a neighbour, not his babysitter…

So while his neighbours played like kids they are, Ray was studying everything he could about Pokemon, their habitats, food, especially their moves… and especially their training methods.

There isn't much to it, trainers rarely share their methods, they prefer to only give simple tips…

To a certain degree, Ray can understand, it's their bread and butter, Ray found that being a simple Pokemon trainer isn't that lucrative of a job option unless you are quite successful in leagues and gym battles…

But in the end, every single child in this world dreams of a Pokemon trainer, it's as if it's written in their DNA...

Probably Arceus doing…

And so summer came up and Professor Oak's summer camp was coming up.

Ray decided to impress the old man, and maybe just maybe he would take him under his wing.

Learning from the Professor himself would be an incredible thing.

They never showed this in anime but Professors have an incredible amount of authority in the Pokemon world.

Just studying under one is an incredible amount of prestige, but at the same time, one will be exposed to the best available tools and data on Pokemon.

What he learned so far is that there are no Steel or Dark types introduced yet, same with Fairy types…

This is something Ray is going to abuse… he is going to 'Discover' these types, he remembered there was an episode in the Johto league where Brock explained to Ash about Discovering 'New types'...

This is where Ray is going to release an Essay on these new types.

How Dragon-type moves don't work on Pokemon like Clefairy or Jigglypuff…

Anyway, since the Summer Camp is happening in Pallet Town in Professor's Coral no less it's going to be a blast…

But, then again spending time with kids is something Ray tried to do as little as possible…

But, sacrifices have to be made… It's for the greater good…

In the end, Professor started with basics and introduced some more docile Pokemon, taught how to fish, as well as a questionnaire…

Ray, of course, nailed all of them, getting top marks in everything he did, this made Gary Oak look at him with a stingy eye, poor kid, thinking that natural talent will allow him to be on top...is pathetic, hard work is always needed and he did that since he could walk and read…

One of the last objectives was berry collection, which Ray quickly collected since he studied berries to an extensive degree…

When he was returning…

*Eep!!!*

"That was a girl's voice…" Ray thought to himself.

He walked over there and saw a girl with a straw hat holding her knee.

'Wait a sec… isn't this that girl from Kalos? Geez... attending Summer Camp which is happening halfway across the world is over top…'

Ray started to approach her…

"Hey...you okay?" The girl lifted her head and looked at him.

'Yep... It's Serena…' After seeing her face he confirmed who she was.

She was afraid as there were tears in her eyes, he looked to the side and saw a Poliwag.

"You should go back to Professor Poliwag, I heard he was looking for you." Hearing that the Tadpole Pokemon nodded at him, and rushed off towards the location of the camp.

"Now that he is gone you not afraid anymore?" Ray said to a teared-up girl, she slowly nodded at him, but she was still holding her knee, noticing that he pulled out his water bottle,

"Show me your bruise…" Ray approached her slowly showing his water bottle.

"You need to wash it up so that no infection can enter, after that we going to wrap it up with a handkerchief." She slowly nodded at him and showed her wounded knee.

Ray opened his water bottle and poured some water on her wounded knee, She hissed a little bit from the pain, and then Ray wrapped his handkerchief around her knee.

"Can you stand?" After fixing her up, Ray asked her.

She tried to stand up but then hissed from pain again, Ray wanted to roll his eyes, but he controlled himself, and instead turned around and motioned her to use his back for a piggyback.

The girl obviously was at a loss...but in the end, she agreed and slowly got on his back.

"T-Thank you…" She sofly said to him, as Ray started to carry her towards the camp.

"No worries...happy to help…" He said to her, while he didn't see it she was blushing slightly.

"Amazingly, you're not afraid of Pokemon… even that big Nidoking," She said with slight awe.

Now that she mentioned it, he did see Nidoking, in the coral, It was not part of the Summer Camp, but there was a trainer who showed off a Nidoking.

He sold the idea of having a Nidoking to Ray…

"It's nothing...so what's your name?" Ray asked the girl with a straw hat, While he knows Ray of this world doesn't know.

"I-Its Serena… and your?" She asked shyly.

"It's Ray...nice to meet you, Serena." He said to Serena.

A few minutes later Ray took Serena to Nurse Joy for a check, he had to give a report obviously and Nurse Joy reported that to Professor.

In the end, Ray got awarded extra points and was personally thanked by Professor and Serena's mother Grace for bringing Serena back.

While Professor was overall impressed by Ray's performance, he outdid everyone by a landslide…

"Well, Ray I would always use an extra pair of hands in my coral if you up for it?" Professor Oak winked at Ray, whose eyes widened for a second.

He quickly nodded at him.

~~~~~~ Two Years Later~~~~~~

Ray was quite excited as he finally finished his essay on three new types of Pokemon, he knew this would blow away the Professor, it took him two years of watching Pokemon battles and recording certain things like why can Clefable beat Dragon-type so much easier than even ice-types…

Many people before this simply expected the fact that Clefable is rare, and Pokemon like Chansey don't usually battle and one rarely sees them on the battlefield.

The other one is the Steel type, Pokemon like Steelix are rarely seen in wilds and if people see it they think it's a variant of Onix… like that crystal Onix in Orange Islands…

That is changing as more and more people are reporting that this 'variant' is quite different from Onix…

So that's why Ray decided to show his 'Findings' to Professor…

"Professor…Remember that incident about the Onix which was a week to Fire-Type?" Ray asked the Professor who was drinking tea.

Professor Oak looked at Ray for a second then snapped his finger.

"Ah, Yes and an interesting specimen it was!" Raynor dropped a massive file and USB on his table with a smirk.

"I believe it's a new type of Pokemon…" Now he got the Professor's interest.

Professor opened the file and started reading, the more he read the more he was into the whole thing…

A few moments later he grabbed the USB connected to his spare laptop and started checking the Videos Ray got on specific battles.

Like Houndoom versus Alakazam… The psychic got owned hands down on this battle or Clefairy owned a Dragonite…

The proof was very obvious as battles were called almost like anomalies…

Most importantly Ray explained simple things and wrote down the weaknesses of these new types as well…

That's why it took Ray close to three years to prepare his findings…

"This is revolutionary Ray… I must send these findings to Pokemon League immediately… and from now on I am giving you the status of Junior Professor, these findings will go under your name." After saying that the Professor was in his world as he started writing an email to someone, completely forgetting his tea…

'Wonderful...with this I will have access to Pokemon Rangers databases on Pokemon migrations as well…' While Ray started to hatch a plan on how to get rarer Pokemon like Scyther to join his team…

It didn't take long for Pokemon League to contact Ray, but Ray wasn't expecting Lance himself to visit him.

"You must be Ray… Professor Oak was singing praises about your achievements kid…" The redhead with the cape said to Ray.

Ray scratched the back of his head nervously...he was not expecting the Kanto and Johto champion to visit him personally…

"It… wasn't much I just paid attention to certain things...until I noticed certain patterns…" Ray explained to him.

Lance nodded with a smirk.

"Well then...tell me about this Fairy-type…" Ray rolled his eyes at him…
