Chapter 4

Otto Apocalypse, the current Overseer of Schnicsal was looking at the computer screens in front of him.

It was a map of the world. On the map, there are points of interest.

These points of interest are sightings of two Herrschers.

Over the past 5 years, he came up with several ideas on how to interact with these two.

The more drastic ones have fallen off the list after seeing that these two Herrschers have continued to grow in power.

By this point, they are at an apocalyptic level if they are ever to be engaged.

He just got a report that Herrscher of Void slaughters its way through Canadian Tundra from the West Coast to East Coast.

All the Honkai Beasts are gone, and all the Honkai in the air are gone as well.

Whatever damage caused by the Second Eruption and First One is long gone.

It's like they are back to their 1800s back to the Steam Engine era.

Honkai levels never were so low before.

'All that power concentrated in two individuals…'

This is what is troublesome. How can they handle this much power?

*TREMBLE*

"!?"

[Sir! We are under attack!]

"...What do you mean under attack?"

[Herrschers! With a huge Honkai Beast Army! They just appeared outside the HQ barrier!]

"...No way…"

A screen appeared in front of Otto. He saw two Herrschers with hundreds of Honkai Beasts… they were not white and pink like the usual ones but Orange and Black, White and Black!

He could see Parvati, Ganesha, Assaka, Templars, Chariots… this is a bigger amount of Honkai Beasts than an Eruption generates!

"...are they going to attack us? But—why?" Otto was perplexed! There were no signs that these two wanted to attack Schiksal! None! The only thing these two did was fight for humanity by erasing Honkai!

As he was pondering why. The Herrscher of Void lifted her hands. It looked as if she was about to unleash a symphony of destruction!

Orange honkai aura surrounded her. Her clothes improved! Black fur manifested around her collar, a hairpin appeared on her hair, several ribbons manifested from her dress and expanded outwards.

A single translucent orange wing appeared from her left shoulder while the three subspace lancers grew in size and became much more complex looking.

'She is preparing to attack!'

The Overseer realised that as he started to move.

"Everyone mobilise! Prepare for battle!"

As he said that he looked at the screen. At that moment the Herrscher's glowing orange eyes looked directly at him.

The next second the direct link with the camera was destroyed!

'She knows I am here.'

For a second Otto felt a chill going down his spine as he saw that gaze. This situation is becoming far worse than the Second Eruption!

'At least I should be able to reason with them!'

Otto recalled that Fu Hua had a conversation with the Herrscher of Balance.

So he needs to establish a dialogue with them!

As he was about to go the whole place trembled.

[Sir! The Barrier is down!]

*Tsk!*

"Prepare for a defensive battle!"

[Y-Y-Yes]

The blonde man could hear the fear in her voice. There is a reason to be fearful, such an invasion never happened before.

Schicksal thought they could utilise their AA guns, the HQ after all was floating in the air!

But that moment black and white Honkai energies washed over and an imaginary ground appeared! The Honkai Beasts descended on this ground and proceeded to rush towards the defenceless-looking base.

"Incoming Templars!"

"These Herrschers are not messing around! They don't even have small fries!"

Valkyries noticed none of the Honkai Beasts were below the Chariot class. This means even to beat one they need group effort!

They are in a very bad situation.

However… The moment the battle started they noticed something strange.

These Beasts are different; they don't try to kill them. They don't even care that fire is being opened on them! Instead, they just smack Valkyries away and rush deeper into the Base!

'Wave tactics?'

"Spacing out in the middle of a fight?"

A voice which sounded like two people talking at once brought the valkyries back to reality.

"Agh!? Herrscher of Void!"

The girls fearfully saw the girl with white hair and orange eyes floating in the air and looking at them from above.

"That is correct. Tell me, do you know anything about 'Kaslana'?"

The question was strange. It made little to no sense.

"...We won't be telling you anything!"

"Heh. We shall see."

Portals started to open behind her and a Legatus walked out.

It was a huge Honkai Beast with massive arms.

"Then I need to start destroying this place. Maybe then I will find something that will tell me what I want."

"W-Why are you doing this!? I thought you were on the side of humanity!"

"Wrong. I am on the side of Raynold. If he asks me to destroy Schiksal then so be it! I am more than happy to destroy this place that created me through experiments! Did you know that?

Your precious organisation created a Second Eruption? The Herrscher of Void was a consequence of brutal experiments in Siberia?"

Her voice started to spread through the whole HQ. It went everywhere.

The Void Queen is utilising psychological warfare. As someone who is raised by a martial artist, she knows well enough how to play mental games. The extra is that she is in the merged state with her Herrscher Persona who is extra sadistic when it comes to Schiksal

"N-No I don't believe you!"

"I didn't ask to believe. I am here because of it. " She brushed her hair before motioning to her pet.

"Introduce them to the ground."

The Honkai beast moved and utilised those big hands to smack the group of Valkyries away.

After knocking them down. The Void Queen proceeded to fly forward. Just in case she summoned more Legatus Honkai Beasts.

She wants to turn this place into a pile of debris.

'Those poor girls were lied to. Following the whims of one megalomaniac. Today it will end!' Kiana mentally said with a serious look.

'While I don't care. I am all for the idea of destroying this place.'

Her Herrscher Persona was more than pleased to cause so much destruction.

"We meet again, Fu Hua."

"Is this your revenge against us for attacking you at the supermarket?" The blue-haired girl asked him as she took her stance.

Even if she knew that she had no chance of winning against him she would still try.

"I am not that petty enough."

"Then why?"

"Because Kiana wanted to. Schicksal created her. Created her previous incarnation as well, causing the Second Eruption.

She has more than one reason to attack this place." Raynold explained with leisure.

"...I see…"

"Indeed. Today this organisation will cease to exist. In one or another form." Black and white energies surged around him as his Taoist clothes got more regal, and a large Yin and Yang symbol appeared behind him. Floating there leisurely.

One could say that he got 'serious'. His improved clothes are proof of that.

"Are you ready?"

She nodded at him, and the next moment he was already in front of her.

Before she can raise her hand to block he already swat her away.

The girl flew away like a ragdoll.

Not only that but her armour shattered on impact.

'So strong! I couldn't do anything! Not even raise my defence against him!'

Just like that, she lost consciousness.

"Poor thing… 50 thousand years… and she is still struggling…"

Raynold sighed as he knew what happened to her. Honkai is more than eager to tell him about this girl who has been fighting against it for thousands of years.

Same time he realised that this conflict was quite an old one.

After taking care of her proceeded to move deeper into the HQ.

The small fries are dealing with small fries while the pair of Herrschers are dealing with the more talented ones.

"Hmm?"

At that moment he felt that he had just lost Parvati. One of his bigger pets!

"Don't they know how long it takes to produce one of these!?"

With a frown, he went over to see who was killing his pets!

When he arrived at the scene he saw a blonde girl with long hair and a lance dressed in regal-like armour. She is slaughtering his Templars and other Honkai Beasts.

"I suggest you stop. It takes ages to create those."

His voice made her stop and look at the floating man.

"Herrscher! I will kill you for attacking Schicksal!" She pointed her lance at him as the girl declared her intentions.

"That's a big talk coming from a girl with a stick." He said with a frown. It was the first time someone said that with such certainty right in his face.

"We shall see!"

With a burst of speed, she rushed at him with her lance.

All Raynold did was simply punch at her. His punch was very basic.

Something she noticed. However, before the collision could happen her world started to spin!

Because of that her balance shifted and her stab missed, but what connected was his fist ramming into her stomach. This sends her flying away and slamming into a wall creating a huge crater.

The power behind the strike made her cough up a lot of blood. It felt that his punch was like a force of nature.

'He is strong…very strong…and his power… it allows him to dominate close-range fights!'

"Are you sure you want to kill me now?"

"...*Cough* very."

"Very well… then I shall teach you the difference between you and me."

As he said that he floated down and landed on the ground. Then he dismissed his form.

"?"

"Come. I am giving you a chance to beat a Herrscher. Don't waste it."

She narrowed her eyes and stood up. Her form looked quite shaky. But she controlled herself.

"You will regret this!"

She kicked off and rushed at him. Trying to stab but this time something crazy happened. He gently brushed her lance to the side and put his leg in front of hers.

This made her miss and ended up tripping landing face-first into the ground.

"Lance is a weapon of a knight. You are no knight. Supporting experiments done on children. Even assisting an organisation which tried to create a Herrscher on their own." He mocked as he noticed her knight-like behaviour.

"Even so… Schicksal is the only power which is doing something to save humans from Honkai." She snapped at him with frustration. It might be possible that she knows that Schicksal is not as clean as it should have been.

Regardless she was slowly standing up on her feet.

"Oh? Someone is behind the times. It was me and Kiana who cleaned the majority of Honkai and Honkai beasts of the face of Earth.

Effective immediately you are useless and a villain." He continued and motioned to come at him.

"..."

"..."

She slowly got up and straightened herself.

"Even so. I have things to do. Many lives are hanging on the fact that I have to fight."

"...Heh. So that Overseer sure has his clutches on you. Did he promise to make you into Herrscher? Can he do that?"

"...No. He has the technology I need!" The blonde rushed at him once again. But this time she was much slower and much-much more cautious. They only had two exchanges but they were brutal for her.

This time around she tried to use martial arts. But that was even worse as he once again brushed her lance away. She tried to punch him with her other hand but he casually parried it away, he then forced her to lose balance as he intercepted her leg positioning.

She tried to mitigate this by attacking mid fall but it only made her drop into his knee.

*OOF*

Before she can collapse he grabs her by her collar.

His senses tried to scan her.

"...You…"

What he sensed from her made his brain short-circuit for a short moment.
