“This looks disgusting. This GHQ removed the names of streets and districts, removing the identity of Japan itself.” Julis looked disgusted as she was checking the map.

“The 24th Ward is where we have to go.” She said after locating the most significant location in the whole database.

“It's where all the research is related to the virus. Where is something called ‘Void Genome’ is.”

Alex blinked a couple of times.

“Are you telling me such information is out in the open like this?” He got closer to Julis and looked over her shoulder at the screen.

“Not in that way. There is nothing specific on the research, but each floor has assigned research and this floor studies ‘Void Genome’.” She pointed at the schematics of the tower.

“I see. Without outside knowledge, one wouldn’t know what is what.”

“Precisely. But since we know what this is, we can target this specifically.” Julis said that with a smirk.

“Indeed.”

Alex nodded. His eyes went through other floors and what they had.

‘Project… Mana?’

For a second, he pondered what this could be. A stray thought poked the back of his head.

‘Inori?’

A flashback of a girl with pink hair appeared in his mind.

‘Possibly…’

Does this mean he is in Guilty Crown before the canon? That is possible. He appeared in DxD before canon. But it was only for a couple of days.

“Okay, I am done here. Let's go.” Julis got him out of his deep thoughts.

“Right.”

The pair landed on a skyscraper and looked at a massive megastructure in Tokyo Bay. This building is the Headquarters of GHQ.

This tower is the ‘monument’ of their recovery from the virus.

“Not bad. Almost as good as Asterisk Island.” Julis commented offhandedly.

“Yeah, Yeah, I know that.” Alex joked, he already knows how much his girlfriend loved that place.

“It's not like that! That place is a monument of human ingenuity, an artificial island with a metropolis on top of it! And this is just a tower in a bay!” She exclaimed with a huff.

“Okay, Okay, I heard that already. Now, why don't we just crash the party? Destroy a couple of hard drives, maybe bring down the internet?” He suggests it to her.

“We could? The issue is we don't know the whole capacity of the technology. They could potentially have a powerful satellite network.

So even if we take down the grid, the information won't be lost.” She said with a thoughtful look.

“That is true; even in my time, we already had cloud storage and easy access to that info; multiple providers of such services were available to everyone.”

“Precisely, if this doesn't work, we could potentially be waging a prolonged war.” Julis seriously said to him.

“Fine, be me; it's good training for my Balance Breaker.” He wasn't bothered much by such a possibility; Alex has confidence in his skills and abilities.

“True. We haven't fought against humans that much before. We should visit different realities more often.” The girl suggested, though her suggestion has a meaning. She is not that afraid of humans trying to seduce her boyfriend; she is more fearful of devils doing that. That's why she is proposing to visit different realities.

“Yeah, while it sounds nice. We need to pull those cards from the wheel. And besides, to pull something interesting, we need to use uncommon or rare cards for good and interesting worlds.” He explained to her. He is on the fence when it comes to that. It depends on the world because sometimes getting power is better than a world to visit.

“I know, I know, now let's go!”

Flaming wings ignited from her back, and Alex followed after her as his Divine Dividing appeared on his back.

The pair proceeded to fly towards the HQ.

***Sirens Blaring***

“Air defences?”

Julis sounded shocked; she didn't expect that! Do they have enemies worthy of installing that?

“I don't see any AA guns; they may have stationed people to watch the skies after we show flight abilities.” The White Dragon Emperor commented as he glowed white and transformed into his Scale Mail Balance Breaker.

“I will be the distraction while you systematically do your thing.”

*LIGHTNING SCREECH*

Like a blur, he was gone; Julis couldn't even follow him as the next moment, she heard windows shattering. He was already inside the building, and she could see flashes of white trails

Her boyfriend was going wild.

‘Maybe this is for the best. Alex does like fighting; THAT dungeon made sure we like fighting.’

The pinkette thought about that before flying over to the roof and landing there. Julis’ eyes ended up on a locked door.

The girl lifted her hand and created a ball of white flames condensing before throwing it at the sealed entrance.

Seconds later, the doors started to heat up. The girl walked over and casually kicked them wide open.

“I do hope this company has great insurance policies.” The girl commented with a smirk; she realised the running gag her boyfriend is constantly telling to those ‘Anti-bodies’.

As she strolled in, she encountered a bunch of stairs. At the same time, her eyes ended up on cameras.

Seeing that she created a sword from fire, she realises she will have a welcoming committee downstairs.

“In that case, I will greet you all as well.” She lifted her free hand and released a stream of flames, melting away the cameras.

After that, she took several stairs before finding doors, which required an ID card.

“Hmm, I have just the thing you need.”

She placed her hand on the card reader, which started to melt away.

Seconds later, the fire melted the lock away. Before Julis can kick the doors, bullets blast through the doors.

“...”

“Fair enough.” In a way, she was expecting such a response.

She lifted her free hand and started to condense another ball of flames.

Once she was ready, she kicked the doors and threw the ball.

The waiting Anti-Bodies stopped in their tracks for a second when they saw the incoming ball of flames.

“Shit!”

“Scatter!”

*BOOM*

The ball exploded in white flames, spreading everywhere and catching the soldiers on fire—screams and begging followed as the soldiers started to trash around from the pain of getting burned alive.

Julis simply watched everything. Before the flames could expand, she lifted her hand and made them all rush back into her hand.

Reducing the heat in the room; she doesn't want to destroy everything before she does her self-imposed mission.

“Damn you, Alien Witch! Do you think you can get away after doing all this damage to GHQ? We are a U.N.-funded organisation! The entire world is behind us!”

One barely conscious soldier exclaimed with anger. He sounded important.

“I heard that somewhere before. Sadly for you, fire doesn't discriminate.” She showed her free hand; a fire burned above her palm.

…

“Aghhh!!!”

Alex smacked another Anti-bodies soldier; he could hear a scream coming from the stairway. It appears his Pink Princess is burning things.

The smell of burning rubber and plastic has started to spread.

After dealing with the welcoming party, the teen looked around the place where he had invaded.

He skipped all the holding cells and the treatment rooms; he has no interest in curing or finding stuff related to the virus.

He is interested in the ‘Void Genome’ and if Inori is in the building.

“Right… so if I go up, I should get to the ‘Void Genome’ place.”

[You think that power will work with you? You have no connection to the virus. From my understanding, you should have SOME relation to it to get the ‘Power of the Kings’.]

Alex could hear Guilty Crown music in the background. It appears Albion was rewatching the whole thing.

‘You know I should use you as a music player; I Think ‘Bios’ is a good soundtrack this time.’

[Yeah. Anyway, from the early episodes, that pinkette got that container not in this place. So I don't know what you will do here.]

The dragon lazily commented as he stopped talking, but the music continued in Alex’s head.

‘Cool, still, I will check what I can find.’

The teen continued to explore.

Julis walked over to a floor with a wide ceiling. What she saw was a research facility. It looked like several floors merged into one big floor; she could see computers and tubes with pink stuff inside them, with a lot of glass.

She walked over and inspected things. Several short minutes later, the girl had some ideas. This wasn't a virus cure facility or human research facility. This floor was a virus study with— extras.

She could see a large tube-like construct; it reminded her of cryo pods, big enough to hold a person inside it.

Were they experimenting with how the virus affects a person?

“Hmm? Collecting shards of consciousness?” She read what she saw on the PC screen.

“Does the virus have consciousness? Wasn't the original one with the virus called Mana?”

The pinkette walked over to the tube and checked what was inside. It had a person inside of it! It's a pinkette, just like her; this girl’s hair is slightly more exotic as it has two different sets of pink.

‘This girl!’

Julis’ eyes widened as she realised what this was! This girl is the main heroine!

For a moment, she wondered what to do. She didn't think for long, as she realised that if they wanted to butcher GHQ, then they would take all the stuff they were doing here.

That includes the girl.

She looked around until she found out how to open it.

With a few presses, the pod opened, and Julis could see a naked girl inside of it.

A few seconds later, the girl’s eyes trembled and slowly opened.

“...”

“Do you understand me?”

“...Who are you?” Her voice was emotionless, even empty, like a shell, one would say.

“My name is Julis, you will be coming with me, or do you want to stay there?” Pinkette asked the fellow pinkette.

“...I will come with you.” The girl said that after looking around. The place felt wrong, so she didn't want to stay in such a place.

“Good choice. Let me find something for you to wear.”

The Pink Princess smiled after hearing that; she proceeded to look around.

A few moments later, she found some hospital patients’ style clothes.

“I will give you some better clothes once we meet with my boyfriend.”

The girl listened to Julis and proceeded to dress up.

A few short moments later, she followed Julis, who was still looking through computers and looking for something interesting.

All she could find in this place were things related to the girl.

For example, what intrigued her is that this girl is perfectly immune to the virus. Well, ‘Immune’ is not the right word since this ‘Virus’ is not quite a virus in an ordinary sense.

It affects biology through crystallisation, something akin to DNA manipulation through crystallisation. So, this girl next to Julis could potentially control crystals.

However, how far it can go is something GHQ has no idea.

‘I am pretty sure Alex, with his Falna, could do something with this.’

“Come, let go; we are leaving for the lower floors.”

The girl nodded and followed the pinkette.

“...Tell me, do you have a name?”

“...What's a ‘name’?” The other pinkette blinked a couple of times; she looked curious and confused.

“...I see; in that case, what do you know?” Julis proceeded to question this girl. The Princess realised this girl had some memories of this ‘Mana’ but not enough to have Mana’s ego. So, in a sense, she was a new being who was an empty shell that needed to be filled.

“...Umm…I don’t know?” She looked pretty ashamed and confused.

If she continues, the girl will have an existential crisis.

“Don’t worry; once we are out of this place, we can think of something.” Julis quickly calmed her down with a smile, and she reassured her.
