Gilgamesh Si c14
Added 2024-01-13 23:11:42 +0000 UTCA red aura surrounded Jeanne as Gilgamesh proceeded to chant.
The Ruler was slightly confused, as she thought that the contract sealing was extremely easy for her as Counterforce summoned her, and her existence was easy to anchor for the duration of the conflict.
So she didn't think much about this.
The Saint of Orleans swiftly accepted the offer.
She never considered alternative motives.
“W-Why did you just accept it like that!” Artoria walked over to her and started to shake the clueless Saint.
“W-What do you mean!?” The fellow blonde was confused!
“Didn’t you even consider what this means!?” The King of Knights started to pout. She was jealously angry!
“...W-Wha—?”
“What my other self is trying to tell you is that Master just permanently added you as a Servant.” Alter proceeded to explain.
“Since he is a demi-god with absurd levels of mana, he can easily sustain us.”
“Yes-Yes. That.” Gilgamesh chipped in.
“From now on, Jeanne d’Arc, you are mine. As the greatest collector to ever walk on the face of my Earth, I will collect all of the girls who share my Saber’s face similarities.” King of Heroes proudly exclaimed.
“Again with ‘my Saber’! Who said I am yours!?” Saber stomped her foot.
“Well, I am.” Saber Alter, without beating around the bush, got closer to her Master.
“Gah! You should be on my side! You can't allow this— pompous King to speak nonsense!” Artoria was annoyed that her fallen side was so casual!
“I'm fine. Don't mind me. You can continue to throw your fit. I am fine as it is.” Artoria Alter dismissed her armour and snuggled with the King of Heroes.
“Y-You!”
As the pair of Sabers were acting like little girls, Gilgamesh was enjoying the show. This time around, this amusement was entertaining to watch while Jeanne and Mash were nervously laughing, not knowing how to interact with this.
~~~~~~Orleans~~~~~~
“Aren't you satisfied!? This witch is the one you were speaking about! So why are you now crawling on the ground like a worm!” A pale blonde girl in black armour taunted a fat clergyman.
This man was the very same bishop who decided to brand Jeanne d’Arc as a witch.
“I-Impossible how are you still alive!?”
“I have returned from the pits of hell to avenge my death! I will start with you, then with this city and then with the whole of France!” She kicked the clergyman in the gut, making him collapse on the ground before stomping him with her high heel.
“La Grondement Du Haine!”
Banner poles rose from the earth, impaling the priest and igniting him on fire with hell flames.
The priest screamed for several seconds. Jeanne Alter had a feral smile on her face while watching the man ceasing to exist.
“Beautiful! Simply beautiful! That is my Saint!” A man with bulging eyes clapped his hands in happiness. He barely controls himself from that sheer happiness as he sees his Saint alive like this!
And she is doing what she is supposed to do to people who betrayed her like this.
“My Servants! Spread out and destroy and kill everyone in your paths! Leave none alive!”
Five Servants, which Jeanne Alter summoned, nodded and proceeded to start wreaking havoc in Orleans.
As the five rushed out, the pale blonde Fallen Saint looked towards a specific location.
‘Someone has killed my pets. Well, well, it appears there ARE some capable people after all.’
Her grin returned. She might be having some fun after all.
“Gilles, you hold the fort for me. I have some unfinished business to do.”
“As my Saintess commands.”
East of Orleans, in the forest close to a fortress, Gilgamesh has set up a temporary camp. Well, it was more like a luxurious tent worthy of a King of Heroes.
While his pair of Artorias were eating food, Mash stood beside her Master.
Only the newly added Jeanne was thinking about what to do.
Should she join her Master to discuss things with the Chaldea, or should she join and eat food she has never eaten?
Those things are eating inside of her!
“Jeanne, if you want to eat, just eat. It's not like anything will happen while you eat.” The blonde Demi-god rolled his eyes at her behaviour.
“R-Right!”
As the Maiden of Orleans walked away, the blonde looked at the hologram created by one of his artefacts.
“As you have guessed, this is indeed the time of a hundred years of war. More precisely, the end of it.”
Gilgamesh returned to his explanation.
“The Saint was just recently killed, and a few days after that, this event has happened.”
“But why this period?” The Director asked as she pondered on it.
“The enemy of humanity is targeting key points of history.” The blonde Master reminded her.
“The singularities are placed at specific times to cripple the development of the human race. France is quite important for one thing.”
“...They are?”
“French Revolution.” Da Vinci clarified.
“But that's like 400 years from now!”
“Well, there won't be any French revolution if there is no French.”
“True. So what now? We know it's an evil version of Jeanne, and you know where she is.” Romani said with a knowing voice.
“Exactly.” Gilgamesh grinned for a second.
That's right. He has acquired the Saint. Now it's time to tame the Witch.
“I shall head to their Base and acquire what is rightfully mine.”
“By all means, Your Highness. All we require is the cup to end the singularity. The rest is to do as you wish.”
“Don’t worry. I think you shall be interested in what I acquire.”
Gilgamesh is certain that Da Vinci wouldn't mind endless resources of dragonkin materials. The Witch can produce dragonkin like it's breathing.
“Then I Shall wait for this—surprise.”
While the genius inventor was curious, the other two were not so much.
After resting and waiting for morning, the group moved towards the capital.
“Shouldn't we deal with her forces first?” Jeanne asked with a curious look.
“No. Everything will fix itself the moment we remove the grail. And we don't need to travel by land.” Gilgamesh explained with crossed arms. Under his feet, a golden portal opened.
His Vimana started to rise from the ground.
“We shall strike at the head of the metaphorical snake. Remove the source of the issue, and everything will fall apart.
Your evil version is at the source of this. So I will simply deal with her.” He specifically said ‘deal’, not kill/destroy/beat.
“Now come. Let's meet this altered version.” As the King of Heroes said that, he walked over and sat down on his throne. His Servant’s followed after him.
Once on the flying contraption, the object rose fully from the ground. The wings spread out as the Vimana proceeded to fly towards the City of Orleans.
“Amazing, is this some sort of Noble Phantasm!?” Jeanne looked at the greenery below, accompanied by forests.
“As far as I know, Vimana is mentioned in Babylonian and Indian myths.” Mash tried to recall what she had read about this in books.
“Indeed. My Throne of Heaven Soaring King allows me to traverse skies rapidly. It's one of my ‘rights to rule’ alongside my sword.”
As Gilgamesh said that, there was a slight smile on his lips. As he looked forward, he could see a swarm of wyverns.
One of these wyverns is an enormous black dragon-like creature. Standing on its head is a Jeanne.
This Jeanne Alter is dressed in black robes and armour, identical to regular Jeanne, and her colouring is similar to Saber Alter.
“T-That's her!” Jeanne exclaimed with shock. The Saint never thought she would see a day when she would meet someone like that!
“Let's lower the amount of bugs surrounding us.”
With hand motion, massive gates opened behind the Vimana.
Gilgamesh pointed forward, and hundreds of weapons started to rain towards the swarm of wyverns.
The slaughter was as one-sided as it could get.
Seeing such a scene, Jeanne Alter turned around and flew back.
“She is running away!”
“That's fine. We simply follow her. Let her take us to her base.”
The King of Heroes casually responded as he recalled his weapons.
He doesn't mind cat-and-mouse games with one of his Saber-faces.
After flying for several minutes at a modest pace, Gilgamesh gave Alter Jeanne the feeling that his Vimana couldn't fly faster.
The King of Heroes is giving her a feeling that she is faster on her dragon mount. He was giving her a few extra moments to organise opposition.
Sure enough, they arrive at a black-ish castle with wyverns surrounding the tallest tower.
“That wasn't here before! And this is Orleans!” Jeanne exclaimed with sunrise.
“No doubt the handy work of the grail.” Artoria reasoned; she then looked at her Master.
“King of Heroes! Allow us to fight! We shall remove the rabble on the ground. While you face the Dragon Witch!”
She will not just observe while he deals with the enemy! She is here to assist and help restore humanity!
“Very well, then you all go and engage the forces on the ground.”
“Fine.”
“Yes!”
“Orders Understood!”
“B-But, Master! I need to face that version of me!” Jeanne complained. She wanted to face that version of herself!
“You are in no condition to face her. Just deal with those things on the ground.” He motioned for them to get going.
The Blonde Saintess pouted at him for a bit. But she followed his command and jumped off the Vimana.
‘Good, now I can focus on acquiring the ultimate prize of this Singularity.’
Gilgamesh stood up from his throne with a golden burst. He fully armoured himself and proceeded to take several steps forward.
He looked at a giant dragon holding itself on the side of the tower.
“Oh my, did I find your weak spot? You don't have the means to attack me in the sky?”
“Hahaha, don't worry! Your King shall extend an olive branch.” The blonde happily laughed as he opened his gate and loaded it with dragon-slaying weapons.
With casual wrist motion, he slaughtered the majority of wyverns around the castle.
That was the last straw for the Dragon Witch as she made the dragon lunge at the Golden King.
“Such a desperate move, and indeed, I am touched by your desire to kill me.”
“Die!!!” Jeanne Alter, who was closer now, roared with anger.
“That's not how it works.”
That moment, the dragon was impaled midair from multiple portals, which appeared instantaneously.
Jeanne Alter’s eyes were wide from disbelief. Next second, Enkidu chains coiled around her. She was wrapped like a gift.
“We will have a long chat so that you don't attack your King.” He reprimanded her with a simple voice.
“You are not my King! I don't have a King!” The Dragon Witch got snappy with him.
“Wrong. There is only one King in this world, and that is me, and you will be part of my collection.”
“Don’t be ridiculous! Are you mad? I will kill you!” The pale blonde Dragon Witch got snappy with him.
“Hmm, you are truly clueless, aren't you?” He sighed at her; with a hand motion, the portals retracted, and the corpse of Fafnir dropped to the ground.
“Release me, and I will show you the difference! I will impale you on my flag poles!”
“Is it? Such a ferocious love. Very well, entertain me, my witch.”
With a thought, his Vimana took them to the ground and returned to his gate.
Then he released the chained Dragon Witch.
“I am giving you your chance. Defeat me, Jeanne. If you fail, I will keep you in a maid uniform.” Gilgamesh said with crossed arms.
“Over my dead body, goldy!” With an angry roar, Jeanne Alter summoned her banner and pulled out her sword.
With hand motion, flames rushed towards Gilgamesh, who scoffed at her try.
“You need to try much harder than this.” His gate opened, and a golden shield quickly tanked that attack.
