Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded c16
Added 2024-01-29 01:31:41 +0000 UTC“So that's the dubbed Legged ship, huh?” A brown-haired man dressed in a short-sleeved yellow ZAFT uniform commented as he looked through binoculars.
He observed the massive spaceship from the top of a dune.
“Aren't we going to attack?” His second in command asked with a frown.
“And get slaughtered by that Kira Yamato? I prefer to gather my forces. At first, I thought about sending three BuCUEs and some attack helicopters. But after seeing the reports from his last space battle, I changed my mind. I asked for more forces from Gibraltar.”
“But this is not space. His mobile suit doesn't have the advantage.”
“DaCosta. If you want to attack, then do so.” The commander lowered his binoculars and looked at his second in command.
“N-No, I trust your judgement, sir!”
“Good. Then, when we get three more BuCUEs, we will test the myth of Strike, the Ship Killer.” Commander Andrew Waltfeld said with a challenging grin.
~~~
And ZAFT North African Occupation Force didn't need to wait for long as aboard Archangel, the alarm system blared.
“Finally, I thought they forgot that we exist.” The blond Lieutenant was already dressed in his pilot suit.
Same with Kira as he was checking his mobile suit.
The loading was rapid as Kira launched from the Archangel and landed on the sand.
The OS adjusted the machine legs to be spread out to counter the sand.
“Legion, start collecting data from this fight with the new apps I installed.”
[Softwares are all operation]
“Good! Here comes the donors.” Kira commented as he looked at the approaching BuCUEs.
The land-based ZAFT units.
These hound-like mechs were running at Strike. The rocket pods they were carrying opened fire and shot at him.
“Yeah, right. Frontal missile attack? What is this? A FPS game?”
Kira snorted as he used his head-mounted CIWS and destroyed the missiles before lunging to the side and shooting his beam rifle at the BuCUE’s legs.
He chipped one, which made the hound lose balance.
“W-What the fuck!? What's with that aim!?” BuCUE’s pilot was caught off guard!
Kira used his thrusters to get close and deliver a knee to the mobile suit’s head, shattering the front camera.
To finish this, he slashed the mobile suit’s legs and the missile pods with his beam saber.
“My thanks for the parts.”
The Strike’s pilot thanked, but he could not stick for long as helicopters, and the other five BuCUE started concentrating fire on him.
~~~
“That kid is deadly. The way he pilots his machine is like an extension of his body. DaCosta! Where is this land advantage you spoke of?” Commander Andrew Waltfeld started to mess with his second in command.
“...Umm, well.” Before DaCosta can say anything, the commander doesn't wait for the reply.
“This is pointless! Send a retreat signal. If we want to fight this thing, we need to prepare a trap. Otherwise, it's pointless. He will slaughter my men.”
“R-Right!”
His second-in-command raised a gun and shot several flares into the sky.
These attracted the attention of the people on the battlefield.
The ZAFT forces started to retreat after seeing the flares.
~~~
“What the—!? Hey!!! Where do you think you are running!!?” Kira got pissed! He only collected seven BuCUE legs and two missile pods!
He lunged forward and kicked one of the BuCUE to its side and proceeded to remove mobile suit parts with his beam saber.
Once he finished with the limbs, he shook the mobile suit until the pilot left it from that fear and started to run into the dunes.
“Hey, kid. I know tech is important, but you should take it easy.” The Lieutenant spoke via coms.
“And I am taking this easy. We are gathering resources in the wilds. And it just turns out it's my day as I caught a metal wolf.”
“*SNORT*”
“Well, as long as you are having fun.”
The Lieutenant’s jet fighter flew over; Kira looked at the machine the blonde was piloting.
“Any plans for upgrading that relic? I can't believe they gave you a fighter jet.”
“Fighter Jet!? This plane is a Skygrasper! It was developed alongside G-Weapons!”
The Lieutenant complained over the radio.
“Right. I can just retrofit this BuCUE for you. At least that way, you could have better fighting prospects.”
“You just chopped that thing's limbs.”
“Nothing a good welding couldn't fix.” Kira reasoned.
“I'll skip that.”
“Suit yourself; I will be skating these sands in no time.” The Strike’s pilot smirked as he looked at his latest loot.
~~~
“Well, this went well.” Captain Ramius sighed in relief; their first land encounter was a clear victory.
“This was just a scouting skirmish. They want to see how good Strike is.
Now that they know, we can expect some serious opposition from ZAFT occupation forces.” Ensign Badgiruel said with a pondering tone.
“Then we need to rush towards the Red Sea.”
“Precisely.”
As Archangel started to float, Kira was bringing over his loot. Which only made the mechanics want to cry with the amount of ‘loot’ the ship has by this point where they will put all of this!?
This time, he brought over several BaCUEs! Not just that one he kicked but the other two. He could have a proper running BaCUE if he wants.
~~~~~~Few Hours Later~~~~~~
“Hmm, what do you mean resistance group?” Kira, who had already connected his laptops to one of the BaCUE’s consoles, asked Lacus, who just brought over a bottle of water to him.
“Yes. The captain is talking with locals.”
“She is?” He pondered on what to do next. Should he stick his head out and check what is going on?
“...Hmm, I suppose this could do it.”
“Do what?”
“We will be visiting the city soon, or— no, knowing Desert Tiger, he will try to run us dry.”
“Run dry?”
“Supplies, Lacus. This means he will attack the resistance forces we made contact with.”
“He would!? But—” She panicked for a second. Would Andrew Waltfeld do that?
“I will talk with the captain; you should relax,” Kira patted her shoulders as he walked towards the bridge.
~~~
“Oh, Blondie, you survived Heliopolis.” Kira looked surprised to see the girl with short blond hair dressed as a resistance fighter.
His voice and casual mannerisms took the girl by surprise.
“You! You are the kid from Heliopolis!”
She pointed her finger at him.
“Yeah, I just said that. But never mind that.” He waved her off and looked at the captain.
“Captain. I do not doubt that Desert Tiger saw the resistance forces making contact with us.
I assume you asked for supplies from them?”
Kira's casual entry made the serious conversation stop. Ensign Badgiruel almost gave him an earful, but then she realised he was the same rank as her! So— she could not.
“...Yes? This is essential.” Captain, confused for a second, replied to his question.
“Well, knowing that Desert Tiger is fighting. And he can't win in regular exchanges. What do you think he will focus on?”
Lieutenant’s eyes widened when Kira said that! Before this, he was leaning against the wall with crossed arms and listening in.
“He will focus on places which could give us supplies! What's the point of Strike’s superiority if we can't run the machine!” Lieutenant slapped his forehead as he realised the next move.
“Yeah, one of the most basic tactics in war.”
“!!!”
“!!!”
The resistance fighters with the blonde girl panicked as they scrambled to leave the Archangel.
“We need to save Tassil!”
“Apologies Captain Ramius! But we need to leave.” The resistance fighters started to rush. The blond went with them. She wanted to talk with Kira as she saw his uniform; she knew he was with Earth Alliance, and she wondered why!
But saving the resistance base was a priority.
“That was smart thinking, kid. But this is a death sentence. They have no weapons to fight ZAFT forces.”
“True. But this is where we come in.” Kira shrugged in reply.
“Are you going to rescue them?”
“No. There is no need to rescue anyone. Desert Tiger is one of Lacus’ father’s men. He wouldn't commit genocide. What he will do is burn the place to the ground instead. He will leave people alive.
We could use that to attack ZAFT.”
“...Hold it! You want to attack!?” All three looked at him with wide eyes.
“Of course. An attack is something Desert Tiger won't consider, considering our status. We had a space battle less than 48 hours ago and another fight less than 4 hours ago.
Typically, a fighting force after a fight is tired; the Desert Tiger attacked the rebels because they were out of their base, and we were supposed to be running away and resting.
But this means that the Tiger is out of his lair too.” Kira explained to the trio.
“... a smart plan. But are you sure? You are the only proper fighting force we have.”
“Indeed. But captain, I have one word.”
“...And that is?”
“Loot. Imagine raiding a dragon’s cave.” Kira grinned from ear to ear.
“...”
“...”
“...Just a reminder, Kira Yamato, this ship is an Earth Alliance vessel, not a pirate ship.” Ensign Badgiruel reminded him, but she sighed with a smile. A possible crippling move to ZAFT’s North Africa’s occupation force?
She can get behind that.
“Dully nodded. But I still need to improve my Strike.”
~~~
As Desert Tiger led his raid on Tassil, The Archangel flew towards the HQ of ZAFT’s North Africa Occupation force in Banadiya.
There is a towering ‘Land Battleship’ in the colour of Sand parked at the outskirts of the base. This thing was the Lesseps-Class Battleship, a monstrous 230-metre-sized Carrier.
To Kira, this was a tank and not a Battleship; it had four massive caterpillars to move on the soil or sand.
For this move, Archangel will be used as temporary bait, a short distraction.
To take the attention away from Kira, standing on the opposite side.
Andrew Waltfeld used the cover of the night to attack. Archangel and the crew can do the same.
When Kira was in place, Archangel revealed itself, and the sirens blared through the city.
The land forces proceeded to respond.
As Lesseps proceeded to move to intercept the Archangel, Kira pointed the Needle Thrower at the big yellow and very towering ZAFT Command Centre.
With the press of a trigger, the needle blasted out and, like a missile, slammed into the Yellow carrier. The attack created a massive hole in the hull.
A chain reaction followed as the thing blew up like a firework.
“That’s a big bonfire.” Kira was impressed by the performance of the Needle Thrower.
[Sir, the Needle Thrower requires maintenance. It appears the railing can't hold the pressure from the blast. A side effect of Earth’s Pressure.]
Legion showed a picture of deforming railings from heat. It appears he will need to rework the weapon inside the atmosphere.
“Yes, we will rework the calculations once we are back. It appears my actions attracted ZAFT.” He noticed enemies rushing towards him.
Kira closed his eyes briefly, as a purple lotus flower erupted in his consciousness. When he opened his eyes, S.E.E.D mode activated. His pupils disappeared, the only thing left was purple eyes.
He switched his Needle Thrower into rifle mode and proceeded to shoot.
Thick green beams proceeded to rainfly towards incoming helicopters.
Each shoot was a direct hit. Even if the helicopters tried to dodge Kira, he had already calculated wind patterns in this area. He knew to which side the aircraft would use to avoid the shots.
Just like that, he destroyed the air units and proceeded to dash towards the base from the opposite side of Archangel.
The remaining ZAFT forces didn't know which side to attack! On one side they had a massive space vessel, while the other side had a mobile suit which was slaughtering everything in his path.
“Everyone! Retreat! We will regroup with the Commander!” A female voice said from a flashy-looking superior version of a BuCUE.
This machine was the improved version of ZAFT land units, the anti-mobile suit LaGOWE.
The remaining BuCUE followed after this unit as they retreated towards the desert night.
Kira looked at the retreating machines with slight disappointment. Well, whatever. They still have barracks to loot.
“Not bad, kid; you just freed this city from ZAFT control.”
As the Lieutenant said over the radio, Kira could see people starting to leave their houses and cheer as they saw Archangel fly over the side of the city.
“Does this mean the kebabs are in the house? Wait, do I even get paid!?” Out of nowhere, Kira wanted to know if he would get a salary!
Everyone who heard him started to laugh their asses off. The Strike pilot can be so random.
