PLEASE READ - may edit or delete art tiers
Added 2020-07-15 18:24:21 +0000 UTCAlrighty, this is kinda difficult to put out and believe me, I've thought long about it...but truth is that ever since I've added the $27 tier to my Patreon, I've been really struggling with keeping up with art rewards, and am going to face an art burnout soon at this rate;;;
I really want to thank you first of all to all those who are pledging to my current art reward tiers, you guys are seriously helping me a lot and I'm deeply flattered you like my art enough to support it monthly ;w; ♥
So please don't take this as me being ungrateful 'cause it's not, if anything one of main concerns is if I face an art burnout it means the quality of my works for you will drop, or there will be significant delays, and I want you all to feel you're getting your money's worth when pledging to me!
You also are helping very much with your support, which is a pretty big cut of my Patreon income, but if I have to be honest...I have to prioritize my health before money. As some of you may know, I have sever tachycardia which is mainly stress induced and it's...not fun at all. Really. It's like having mini heart attacks and I wouldn't wish it to anyone. Lately I haven't been feeling well at all (hence why the recent medical visits I've mentioned) and I don't wanna risk it. Also having some other personal issues I'd rather not talk about... And as mentioned above, I don't wanna risk an art burnout either, I'm already slow with art as it is and getting stumped it's the last thing I want. I'm so sorry to have disappointed you all by biting more than I can chew, I really just thought having the separate tiers would make everyone happy TwT"
So, the solutions are now 2...I was thinking to either further limit the slots in the art tiers, reducing more their numbers, but to do that I'd have some of you unpledge on their own will, since I can't of course reduce the slots if they're all taken...and I'd feel really bad at asking any of you to "go away", it feels very rude idk;;;
Other option would be I completely delete the art tiers for the time being, and instead I'll offer monthly or even weekly patron-only commission openings, depending on how much I can take at the time. I've raised a bit my prices a couple months ago due to demand, time spent on them, and how other artists with similar skills price their services, but it's nothing big (like €5) and you patrons would get a little discount anyways c:
Nothing of this is decided yet; all tiers and rewards stay as-is until further, official notice! Which if it ever happens, it'll be probably in September, to leave you August to familiarize with the changes.
Please let me know what you think of this, all suggestions are always welcome! And sorry again for disappointing you really...I just have to prioritize my health, workflow, and your own satisfaction with my work (wait included). Thank you so much for understanding, it means a lot to me ♥♥♥

Do what you need to do to stay healthy. For sure I can understand getting burnt out ;o; I don't mind what you decide to do so long as it keeps you happy and healthy ♥ Maybe you can keep the $20/$27 tier but discontinue the art piece? That way there will still be a tier for the premium base and one for the normal one? Because honestly $27 for (going from this months) 188+ options is BIG and a base like the Junicorn one could easily go for more than $27. If anyone has pending art slots, they could maybe use them up (unable to stack anymore) or trade them for one of your other bases of equal or less value?

I've thought about that, but my main 2 concerns are that by deleting and re-creating the 27 tier people would lose access to all previous posts (patreon posts are tier-relevant, they would count the new tier as a different one even if with same amount) and it would still be too much for me, as I'd have to lower the tier 20 and 50 slots to even out the extra 27 slots TwT (which means those tiers will lose all previous access too) But I'm still thinking about it! Thanks a lot for your support and input ♥

I'm completely expecting people to unpledge, but as I said it's come to a situation where I need to prioritize my health over money (and not only that, but if I'd keep things up as they are you would end up having to possibly wait months for a reward and I absolutely don't want that) And yes, if I do remove the art tiers monthly or even weekly patron-only commissions are definitely going to be a thing! That way I can still make art for you, but take only what I know I can manage that week/month, so I feel it'd work best for everyone c,: D'aaaww, I'm flattered to know you'd like one since this long! I really hope to find a balance between work and health soon so I can improve things both for myself and my customers. I would never ask anyone to keep pledging if I remove the tiers, and I expected everyone in them to hop off, which is why I'll be offering monthly discounted patreon commissions instead! I know it's not the same as offering art every month for sure, but it'd help incredibly as I'd only open as much as I feel I can take, and it'd do much better for my health c,: Thank you for your kind words and your patronage so far, whatever it'll happen! I think monthly art patreons are really hard for anyone to keep up, so I don't see any harm in doing away with it if it'll help you handle your work load and stress. Either way, I still love and adore your art and I'll be happy with whatever makes you happy and healthy!

I get some people might be inclined to unpledge if the custom art tiers are removed, but on the other hand people like myself might be able/willing to up their respective pledges to compensate - ESPECIALLY if it means you'd be opening patron commission slots now and then! I've been itching to commission you for a few couple pieces since.. last year xD LOL

Also dont overdue it im sure everyone will understand if or when you have to make the hard choice, but im pretty sure theyll still continue to follow you and support you regardless. I might unpledge when you decide to take out the 20-27 tiers. :( I was mostly here for the 20-27 tiers, which gives both rewards and base access, and was still within my budget. I hope your health gets better and I'll be here until those tiers disappear <3 Thank you for putting your beautiful artwork out there, and if your situation gets better and those tiers come back later, I'll be happy to repledge again <3

The icon base needs only the hair and background layers and it's ready to go ^^ (and it's already at 150+ layers without those x,DDD) I'm still familiarizing with new laptop/tablet settings and so far I'm a bit disappointed with them, so to practice some (and destress orz;;; ) I'll probably open some art trade slots tomorrow or so in public! (via dA/FA journals) If anyone is interested keep an eye out ^^
