'Is this leap natural, or it's related to my group's strength?'

As Raynor thought about that, he channelled magic into his Holy Sword and swung it horizontally.

They were releasing an arc of golden energy, which killed three zombies in an instant.

"Impressive! As expected of a mythical sword! I will take care of the stranglers. Use your sword to take care of that Templar!" Kiana suggested as she aggroed the zombie girls towards herself, giving a free route towards the templar, which was moving towards the girl as well.

The teen rushed forward as his holy sword glowed. The moment the contact happened, the sound of a saw cutting spread through the room.

The Honkai Beast lost its shield, and then swiftly after, it was cut in half.

A few seconds later, Kiana finished off the last zombie as well.

"Seven zombies and one honkai beast."

"Yeah, the numbers are growing," Kiana said as she looked around. She noticed that doors appeared, or more like the wall moved aside and revealed the doors.

"Treasure already?"

"Yeah, I got you after dealing with first enemies, as well."

Her eyes widened slightly as she swiftly rushed to check what it was.

There was a certain amount of enthusiasm and dread at the same time inside of her.

Will he get a new companion!? Will it be Mei!? Or someone else who could be dangerous to her!?

The room was a researcher's office, with tables and a bunch of holograms; Kiana did not care what this was; she looked for a chest.

Eventually, she found a smooth-looking white box.

While Raynor's gaze swept over the whole room, he inspected everything with his eyes.

'Crystal study? I have a weird feeling about this…'

*Gasp!!!*

"What is it?" He asked her.

"...N-N-No way!"

She got up on her feet and walked over to his side.

Kiana was holding a golden card.

"Look!"

He looked at the card she had.

"...This is… Herrscher's core! But, it lacks some of its abilities. I assume it can evolve, as it's the same Tier as Lancelot."

"Ray! Are you saying you can be any Herrscher if it's possible!?"

"It appears so. Honestly, I wanted Kevin's template card, ice powers with a fire sword. It would be an incredible mix."

She deadpanned at him and just handed over the card.

A sign escaped from her mouth. This is getting absurd! Her world is turning into a dungeon! Simple chests hold people and powers like the ones from Herrschers!

While Kiana was thinking about the absurdity of this, Raynor inspected his new loot.

The picture for Herrscher of Reason was interesting, as in the middle, there was a blue crystal surrounded by humanity's weapons.

'Now I only need Lancelot's Knight of the Owner… is it possible to fuse those?'

For a second, he wondered before dismissing his current fusion and then pocketing Lancelot's card.

"Fusion."

The card glowed gold as a blue aura surrounded Raynor.

Seconds later, alarms started to blare out through the whole area.

Kiana looked around; she saw the white silverly walls turn massive red holograms with words like 'danger', 'alert', and 'warning' started popping up.

"Alert, Honkai particles spike detected! Herrscher is on the loose! All forces to research room 2!"

"A trap!?"

Kiana's eyes widened as she didn't expect such development in just the second dungeon!

While she was in shock, Raynor's clothes changed, sporting black pants, dark silver combat shoes, a double black leather belt, a white shirt, and a dark blue raincoat with the Honkai stigmata on its back.

On top of that, he had black fingerless gloves.

Though he didn't care much about his clothes as he sensed the conceptual power he was wielding, it was weird!

It was like another layer of existence attached to him! Like being a cartoon character drawn on A4 paper, yet having full control over what he can add on the very same paper, as long it's related to human technology, and he understands what it is.

"...Ray?"

Kiana's worried voice brought him back. His gaze went to her, then to her pistols. At that moment, he was like a scanner; he scanned her weapons, mentally dismantled and figured out what it was and how it was built.

'So that's how it works.'

Not only he grasped how her weapon works, but how his power is limited.

Each Herrscher action costs him stamina, like in Skyrim. When you run and when you swing the weapon, it drains this bar, but it recovers if you don't do anything.

The same is for him. More precisely, his Honkai reserves refill.

However, this is because he is limited to his stamina limiters. If his stamina improved, then he would bear more honkai and have more reserves.

I guess I will be adding regular training to my list, not just magic.'

Though that moment, he felt someone poking his cheek.

"We kinda busy? You can space out AFTER we deal with this." Kiana said with a pouty tone.

"Sure… still need to handle this upgrade."

"I know what you mean. BUT you can do that AFTER we leave this place."

He nodded and looked around. He then spread out his hands, and a blue wave washed over the whole room.

He wasn't expecting much, but he got hologram technology and some microchip technology just from scanning the room!

'Holy…didn't expect to get stuff, but I got some stuff anyway! I guess these dungeons are on a different level!'

"Let go."

"What was that?"

"To use Reason's powers, I need technology, and I just got some of it."

He showed his hand, and Kiana's style pistol manifested. This was not the end, as the barrel grew to expand and became bigger; just a few seconds in and the pistol was a futuristic assault rifle.

This was not even the end as the weapon just kept on growing, becoming a large calibre laser-like cannon.

"Let's go."

"...O-Okay."

'I thought I would be the first Herrscher to show off. I never expected Ray to just get Bronya's powers!

Does this means he can get templates for mine and Mei's powers!?'

As Kiana thought about this, the pair exited the treasure room, and they were greeted by mechs!

"Schicksal mechs!?" The white-haired girl exclaimed with shock. Isn't this suppose to be a dungeon!? Why is she getting vibes of this being reality!?

"Hmm, more material for me."

Another wave of blue washed over and scanned the mechs; once it was done, he pointed his new gun and pressed the trigger.

A ball of energy gathered at the end of a barrel before it was released into the approaching mechs.

A large explosion sends all the mechs flying in all directions; Raynor dropped the weapon as it has fried from the inside out after using it.

'The test has worked, now for a more sustainable model.'

"Some of them are still operational!"

"Then let's end them." As he said that, two pistols appeared in his hands, as he started to shoot the remaining mechs.

After ending the mechs, they dropped quite a bit of honkai exp cards!

'12 silver exp cards and 31 regular bronze cards! I should nuke rooms more often!

As Raynor thought about it, he opened the Deck menu.

The first thing he did was he dragged the 12 silver exp cards onto Kiana's card.

A grin appeared on his face as he saw how little was left!

He quickly dragged the remaining 12 cards on her bronze card.

Kiana's bronze card glowed as one appeared above her. It was a card with an Herrscher Core drawn on it.

Same style as his Reason template, only different colour; it was an orange crystal, and the background was that of space!

After this card, another card manifested above Kiana's card. It was a golden one.

Raynor swiftly inspected it.

"Holy…9 upkeep!?"

"...9?"

"Yeah! Kiana, you are expensive to keep! Goddamn!"

As he said that, he showed her the card, it was the Void Empress; instead of orange eyes, there were blue, but the way she was portrayed was the usual one shown by the Herrscher of Void.

"Hey! I am not the one who decides the upkeep of these! I thought I could help you with this!"

The girl puffed her cheeks at him. It's not like she is the one who decides how much her upkeep is!

"Yeah-Yeah. I am just messing with you." As he said that, he pocketed the two new cards and then stroked her hair.

*Hmph!*

For a second, she was pouty, but then she deflated and became thoughtful.

"Does this mean the second one is Flamescion and then my Finality?"

She asked him curiously.

"Guess that's how it is."

"Great! Then let's see how much we need for the next evolution!" Kiana happily exclaimed as she wanted him to see how much he needed to unlock Flamescion.

"Sure."

Once again, he opened the deck window, and the girl looked at this from the side.

Raynor dropped the remaining 19 exp cards on Kiana's base card.

"..."

"You are one greedy card."

"Gah! As if it's my fault!" She quickly got defensive about this.

Once again, he rubbed her hair.

"Stop getting so jumpy over the smallest of comments." After saying that, he motioned for her to follow him.

"Fine-Fine! Let's go! We need to finish another seven dungeons before I can show off my Herrscher form!"

As they left the research room, the surrounding walls turned white again.

It appears the 'alarm' was only in that single room. So once they were back in the corridor, zombified girls started to spawn.

"So now they started to spawn!" Kiana snorted as she proceeded to attack.

Raynor followed right after with his Herrscher powers.

This time around, he is the main hitter and the one who takes care of most of them.

His style switches between a bunch of guns. A Gunkata mixed with something similar to the Gate of Babylon.

From pistols to rifles to plasma shotguns, all guns are easy to make manifest and easy to discard after use as well.

However, in the background, he is developing an autonomous mech.

The only issue with his new power is that he is restricted to his 'stamina' bar. This means he can't go truly wild and summon something like Iron Legion or massive mech.

*Bam**Bam*Bam*

The Templar dropped to the ground with a multitude of holes.

"This makes the third group. They ramped up the amount zombies spawn."

Raynor said to Kiana as they had just passed their spawning point and walked to the other side.

"Yeah, and I am feeling slightly tired." The girl said with some sweat on her forehead.

He looked at her for a second. She is right. He was feeling slightly drained as well. The sheer meat grinder starts to get to them.

"Let's see where this leads, and then we can take a breather."

"Sure, sadly, we can't bring in some food in this place." She said with a disappointed tone.

*Snort*

He snorted with amusement when he heard what she wanted.

Eventually, they took a corner and saw another crossroads.

"Fantastic… more chooses!" Kiana exclaimed sarcastically.

Raynor simply summoned a shotgun and blasted several marks on the white walls.

"We going right this time."

"Fine by me."

A few short minutes later, they were in front of another double door.

As they automatically opened, they saw tubes full of liquids.

"This…cloning?" Raynor said with wide eyes.

"...Cloning vats?"

The pair were shocked, yet at the same time, they realised this was a dead end.

'Another treasure room!?'

Sure enough, the vats erupted as zombified girls dropped out of them.

"There are over twenty of them!"

Raynor used his Technology scanner to scan the number of vats in this room.

"You don't say! Why don't you use that canon of yours!?"

The white-haired girl exclaimed as she saw three Templars manifest as well behind the zombies.

"Sure! I even upgraded it!"

As he said, he grabbed air and a large canon weapon manifested in his hands.

[Charging! 10%... 30%... 50%... 80%...Ready to fire!]

A robotic voice said from the weapon, as Raynor pointed the weapon and the targets and then shot it.

A ball of energy slammed into the middle of the zombies, causing a massive eruption of energy.

The blast forced the pair to look away for a few moments. Once settled down, Kiana rushed forward and proceeded to end whatever was left.

Raynor followed right after as he summoned a micro SMG in one hand while his other one had a heavy pistol.

Once they finished with the enemies, the pair collected the exp cards.

'Another 20 basic ones and three silver ones. This doesn't even look difficult anymore. I am pretty sure I can level up Kiana to Finality by the time I finish the 10th dungeon.'

As he thought about it, the pair walked around and saw a door!

"Another Treasure room!?"

"I think the amount of treasures depends on my Adventurer level and the level of the dungeon itself."

As he said that, he opened the doors, and the pair walked inside.

It was another research office, but it was different from the previous one.

This one had a liquid tank in the middle.

As they got deeper into the room, the teen's eyes eventually went on a pedestal next to the clone vat.

He walked over there and saw a single bronze card lying on the pedestal.

As he picked it up, he saw who it was! He was slightly shocked to see what he acquired!

This was Kallen Kaslana in her twin pistol suit!

"No way. This is…" Kiana saw it as well as she looked with disbelief. Isn't this one of her family members from a long time ago!?

She remembers her from a simulation back in St. Freya Academy!

"Hmm? Where is this place?" A girl with white hair combed into a long braid looked around. She had striking blue eyes. The girl looked extremely similar to Kiana Kaslana.

And rightly so, as she was Kallen Kaslana. She has the same genetics as Kiana—a descendant from the same family. Only the difference is that she was alive over 500 years ago from Kiana's time.

"Between life and death."

"...What sort of being are you?"

"I don't think I need to introduce myself."

Kallen's eyes narrowed slightly. For some reason, she can rightly guess it.

"You did something."

"This is so that I don't need to explain myself over and over again."

"...I see. So what does someone like you want with someone like me?" She asked him curiously. Someone as powerful as this being is interested in a simple mortal who died early and didn't accomplish much.

"I will send you to join an adventure of one of my chosen ones. He is an incarnation of Chaos and has the potential to reach levels beyond most mortals can reach."

"Chaos?"

"There are two absolute Primordials in the vast Multiverse. One is Chaos, and one is Order; having one too much leads to a premature end. This is why each universe has a specific classification, either Chaos or Order; between those exists a thin line of Balance.

Regardless this stuff doesn't concern you. What you need to know is that you are getting a second chance, and this time around, you will live for much longer and with someone who can appreciate your existence."

An orb of energy entered as she felt the warmness wash her up.

Kallen's eyes widened as she understood what this was. She doesn't need more explanation as the orb itself explained to her.

"Wow… okay… this…."

Before she can explain herself, her world turns white.

"Ray! Is this for real!? You can summon Kallen!?"

Kallen was not the person she expected him to get! How could she!? Kallen was dead for a very long time!

"Yes. Looks like it."

Without wasting much time, he summoned his Duel table and placed Kallen's card right next to Kiana's."

A large copy of Kallen's card appeared in front of Raynor.

'Oh wow…so this is how he summons me! The card is like a portal!'

Seconds later, Kallen walked out from the card. She looked around.

"...Wait…I think I know you…."

"You do!?"

"Kiana Kaslana?"

"Wow."

"Wow, indeed. You could pass like a twin." Kallen giggled as she then looked at the elephant in the room.

A small gulp went down to her stomach. Here he is—the incarnation of Chaos. How should she respond to the fact that she is feeling affection flowing to her?

"I wasn't expecting my second companion to be Kallen. Kinda interested to see how this will continue."

The second white-haired girl slowly nodded her head. She was wondering where to look as she was too embarrassed to look into his eyes.

"Umm…yeah…"

"Gah! Hahaha! Anyway!" Kiana got in between the two.

"Ray! You can rest! While I will get Kallen up the speed! Explain to her the dungeon and stuff!"

As Kiana said that, she pulled confused Kallen to the side.
