The Games We Play: Dreamer c1

"How did this happen? How did you make her appear like this?" The blonde asked with some curiosity, how did this silver-haired woman appear!? Did he simp so hard that she just appeared!? Or some sort of power?

"He saved Spirit Beasts from human oppression, once we cleaned all humans I followed him to his world." Gu Yuena answered as she was once again hugging his arms. She started to enjoy human interaction like this more and more!

"...Wait! You got Isekai'ed?"

"I don't know myself, honestly," Raynor said while shaking his head.

"I don't think you got spirited away, you appeared in front of me. And then proceeded to heal me with your power. Once I was full strength we started the conquest." Gu Yuena explained to the pair.

"...You should play less of those Grand Strategy Games… the first thing you do when you are in a different world is to start a massive war?" Arno said with a baffled tone. This sounds so Raynor that the blonde believed what the Dragoness said!

"No. It's fine. I like him this way more!" The silver-haired girl said while rubbing her head into his hand.

"...Okay… not going to comment on that." The blonde was slightly freaked out that this woman doesn't mind what Raynor did when he was away.

Truthfully he has no idea how this whole thing even works. He saw his best friend just yesterday but from what the Silver-haired Dragoness said Raynor was away for quite a bit of time.

So it doesn't make any sort of sense to him. Some sort of time warp?

"Anyway… that gaming afternoon is still happening?" Arno asked the important question here.

"Duh… we're gonna try Renegade Vanguard this time." Raynor quickly nodded at his friend.

"Renegade? You don't play those." Arno was shocked to hear that! His deskmate doesn't like when the main character talks shit to his favourite characters…

"There is a first time for everything." The teen sagely nodded at his best friend.

"Heh, we're going to see how you're going to stomach all those conversations."

"No need for any of that… I can skip all that. I already played all that stuff for years!"

Sure enough, the session started after a quick snack. The Dragoness in question was at the back watching all this. Thankfully it was explained to her by the power in which she arrived in this world. She knew the general idea of what was going on.

Gu Yuena was more interested in how this… gaming is connected to the way her world was touched. According to the power, Raynor learned about her world via those pictures and stories which can be told via games, books or animated series.

Thus she understood that even the game they were playing…that world was real somewhere in the vast multiverse.

Though it's hard to see it from this kind of angle. No wonder the blonde and Raynor were shocked to see her for the first time.

Eventually, evening arrived and the case was quite bad for the pair of gamers… they died… hundreds of times. Either from lack of ammo, enemies flooding their covers or lucky shots from the enemies…after all, it only takes two shots to kill on Nightmare Difficulty.

And the way they played the single-player was one try per life. So, the moment Raynor dies Arno takes over, rinses and repeats. Though it was very rare that one of them had the controls for long.

"You two… I can hear your screams from—" Raynor's mother stopped in her tracks as she saw a girl with silver hair sitting lazily on her son's bed.

"Ray! Who is this lady?" She quickly forgot the boy's loud gaming and instead asked who this girl was!

Gu Yuena smiled to herself…

'What a perfect time…'

"I am Ray's girlfriend! Nice to meet you! I am Gu Yuena!" The Dragoness introduced herself with an embarrassing blush.

'Get yourself together you are one half of Dragon God! It's just a human thing to be embarrassed!' Internally she shook her head! How can someone of her calibre blush like that!?

That moment Raynor felt like he got punched in his gut, the Silver-haired girl did this on purpose! While his mother didn't care at all! She simply gushed and got closer to her as she inspected this gorgeous girl!

"Ray, how in the world did you meet her? And why are you not paying attention to her!? I thought we taught you better than this!"

Being at the end of a rant like this made the teen slightly get ashamed and at the same time, he gave a stinky eye at the Dragoness who didn't mind at all. She was happy that she was able to say that in the first place!

"This…we met online and I wasn't expecting for her to end up here without any sort of warning."

"*Hmph!* I warned you. And you even agreed!" Gu Yuena huffed and crossed her arms.

"Yeah… Well, I didn't believe that much."

"This doesn't matter! I thought you were going to marry your computer by this point, but I can finally relax!"

Raynor's mother's words made the teen facepalm when she said that! There was no tact in her wording at all!

"Don't worry, I will make sure he doesn't do that!" Gu Yuena gave a thumbs-up to her so-called boyfriend's mother!

"Well, it's getting late so I should be going home." Arno interrupted them, he was saving his friend's face here!

"True! Gu Yuena wasn't it? Do you have a place to stay?" Ray's mother asked curiously.

The Dragoness slowly nodded, she explained how the whole thing works in this world.

"Good then, Ray dear, take her home, while Arno knows his way around here." The woman nonchalantly mentioned Arno.

Hearing how brutally the woman is taking Gu Yuena's side makes the blonde grimace, Raynor decided to help his buddy in this situation.

"Eh, don't worry the majority of the way we are going on the same route."

His mother nodded to him as the trio got back on their feet.

"So how does this going to work—" Right in front of Arno's eyes the Silver Dragon King simply disappeared, turned into mist.

"As you can see… I don't need to do anything. Gu Yuena is linked to my power somehow."

"...You know… this looks more like she is part of your Simping power creation instead of whatever dream power you said before." Arno dumbly said after seeing the girl turn into mist and disappear like that!

"I have no idea how this power came to be, but as far as I know she is not my creation," Raynor said with a sigh. Now that he had his dose of video games he can return to his tests.

"Good to know. Anyway, see you tomorrow."

After saying their goodbyes Raynor started to walk back.

"You know… after watching you play that thing I wonder… How did you stumble upon my world? Was it a story of some sort?" Gu Yuena asked him as she was quite curious about the development.

'I am more interested in what you said to my mother… Do you even know what a girlfriend stands for?'

The teen asked the silver-haired Dragoness.

'I know quite well what is a 'girlfriend', its first stage out of three stages related to courting… since you helped me with my biggest issue this means the courting has started.'

When Raynor heard that he blinked multiple times… why doesn't it sound so official? and courting stages!? What in the world!

'Okay… and why am I only learning now? And you decided yourself?'

'...No? I don't think so. I am new to all of this…and you showed signs of liking me… so I did the preemptive strike, as they say?'

All he could do is groan from some amount of frustration. Though it only lasted for a moment… he can't deny that beauty is a complete catch and yes… he did conquer the Douluo Continent just for her…

'Since it came out like this… fine… let's get into that Stage one.' He said with an amused tone, he can't believe Gu Yuena turned the relationship into a 'cultivation-ish' thing like that.

The Dragoness hummed with satisfaction for a bit before returning to talk about what she wanted to know beforehand.

'Now that we have that out of the way, how did you find out about me?'

'Hmm? Why the interest? We have already finished the things in your world.'

'Yes, but I want to figure out how my place stacks up with all of that.' She asked curiously.

'Stacks up? Your world is unique with cultivation and spirit beasts. Not many franchises have such a thing. So you can say it's unique with that.'

'I see…'

Raynor slightly sweat dropped as he realised that he needs to make sure that his new girlfriend's original place is special…

'God's Pride? She is still half of Dragon God?' The teen thought to himself.

He decided to cuddle with her to make her feel special.

When Raynor returned to his room, his mother was already retired to the main bedroom and from the sounds of it, she was watching her TV shows.

In a sense, the coast was clear and Gu Yuena simply manifested right next to him.

"What are you going to do now? Should we return to testing your powers?" She asked him softly, making sure her voice is not that loud.

"Maybe. It's for the best if I try out in the dreamscape first. Pulling out things here is… safe. Not yet, at least. Once I grasp the limits then I can relax more." As he explained he ended up getting comfortable on his bed.

Seeing such an opportunity the Dragoness ended up following him and ended up leaning into him.

One thing for sure is that she likes this kind of affection now. She has this curiosity because how humans can get cuddly like this!

Though this is where Raynor started getting touchy as well as he pulled her closer to him, making her sit on his lap.

This made her look at him curiously. She quickly realised what this means. The beauty smiled coyly at him.

"What are you going to do now?" Gu Yuena asked him curiously.

"We can practise." As the teen said that he wrapped his arms around her.

"Hmm, I suppose. I don't know much about human things so it's up to my… boyfriend to teach about them. What do you think? Are you up for that?" The beauty teased him for a bit. She finds this quite entertaining. As a Dragoness she wants all of his attention!

Once again, Raynor started to sleep, and this time he woke up in the grasslands… with the night sky and forest in the distance. On the side, he could see the lakes. And not far from the location he was standing at the moment he could see the Gundam he wanted to be crafted.

Seeing the mech like that… made him understand how his powers work to some extent.

"This thing… it just appeared like that. What is it in the first place? It looks like it's created from some sort of metal." Gu Yuena said from his side as she slightly leaned into his shoulder. The Dragoness was getting way more into the whole affection thing.

"It's a mobile suit used in war. They use these in the void of space. Since humans are fragile on their own, they use creations like these." As Raynor explained he motioned for the Gundam to start. And it did. Strike Freedom's golden eyes glowed and the Phase Shift armour activated. Changing its colour, It no longer was dull grey.

Moments later its thrusters activated as it went into the air. Then it showed its weapons capabilities. From beams to chest positron cannon to the Dragoon system… and finally the full burst mode.

"I see… quite destructive for its size… though how will you use it in small places? I could run circles around it at my current size." Gu Yuena pointed out the obvious fault of the 18 metres tall machine.

"We can work on that after we see the enemy. With power I have… my limits are my imagination." Ryanor said with a shrug as he looked at Strike Freedom which just landed on the grass.

'This won't going to do…'…'

With a mere thought, he created a building where he could store weapons like the Gundam he created today.

As a weeb, he needed to check out the machine. So, he quickly walked over into the new hangar he just created.

"You know… this should be inside your head, so distance—" Before the Dragoness could finish for him the pair moved directly into the hangar.

"Good, you are learning fast." The silver head nodded with satisfaction.

"Yes, it's hard to think that it's my mind when we have the literal proper world." As he mentioned that he wondered what kind of limits this place has. Can he create an actual Galaxy in this place? Or at least the solar system? Well, he can test this after he inspects the mech!

Once inside the hangar, he saw that the machine was placed in a specific place meant for Gundam's this made him slightly in awe of how well his power works compared to the outside world.

'This could mean that the power uses my mind or my memories as a basis to build all this!'

To confirm this he needs to check the cockpit of Strike Freedom!

So without wasting time he went up the metal stairs on the bridge which runs through the area where these machines could be placed. Making it run as high as the Gundams chest.

The teen walked forward and inspected the machine from different angles.

He could use his powers to make the cockpit open up…but if he does that then he will have no clue where the button is…

This is why he spends several minutes doing just that… looking for that button.

Eventually, he found it and pressed it. Moments later the chest area opened up and the pilot seat came out.

As Raynor walked over there, his girlfriend swiftly followed after.

"I want to see what the inside looks like as well!" She said with childish amusement. It's like checking out the curious and interesting things. She had never seen anything like that before!

"Sure, get on my lap." The moment the teen got in the seat he motioned for her to sit.

She followed what he said and ended up sitting on his lap.

Then the seat moved in and the pair could finally see what the interior looked like.

Raynor's eyes widened because he couldn't believe how…perfectly copied the inside was! From the buttons to the display panels! Everything was completely identical to how he remembers.

He could only gulp down as his finger went to the start-up button! The moment he pressed he saw the monitors lit up as he saw the boost-up screen appear! It was a ZAFT symbol! Even the OS was identical!

'If my power can copy all of this… then I could truly do anything I want as long as I know or saw it in person! This is absurd… there are no true limits to this!'

"Ray… are you okay?"

"Yes… I am fine… this power can create this machine from the very ground up! From the interior to the program which runs it… do you understand what this means?"

"...No…not really…"

"For example, I could give you the cultivation level just by knowing how the cultivation level works.  I could copy your dragon form and make it a separate being." Raynor said with a gulp. This was… absurd…

"...You won't do that… Do you?" Now she asked with some worry! Gu Yuena felt that he did say the most important part! He could copy her if he wants to!

"No of course not! I did too much to do such a thing!" He won't purposely diminish what he did in the Douluo Continent! He conquered the whole of the continent and slaughtered all the humans there! Just so that he could impress and gain the attention of the Silver Dragon King!

"Glad to hear. Though this power is far too terrifying." The silver head sighed in relief and acknowledged how terrifying this dreamscape is!

One thing Raynor understood is that he could not for example make himself 'Smarter'. Though this is blurry at best. He could not just make himself 'Smarter' but he COULD alter his body. 'Theoretically', that is it would make him smarter! Like improving brain processing power and the speed at which he gains his knowledge.

If this is all true then his power works with the information he has acquired. In a way, this means that his power is limited by a dream he has. Simply put, it's constrained by his mental limits.

Though…if he works around this he could self-improve…regardless?

If he improved his mental limits it should theoretically make him… Dreamer power? More impressive?

He has not tried to improve his mind yet. After changing his memories into books he wasn't able to improve any more on this even if he made the library more impressive looking.

On other hand, he went to try out some of his powers. He asked Gu Yuena to make some elements so he copied how she did it…

From there out, he could do similar stuff to hers inside his Dreamscape. Making fireballs, making water streams, though he took that to the extreme, highly compressed water or fire so hot it becomes something closer to a laser beams

Gu Yuena was impressed when she saw how far an element could go without adding anything extra to it. So she tried to copy this as well.

'I should teach her more about science and physics. It could do wonders to her powers.'

After testing the basics Raynor decided to try something… more extreme.

As mist gathered in front of him, it turned into a form of a person… dressed in pure white armour which looks like plastic this was a… Stormtrooper.

"Sir, do you need any help?"

For a second, Raynor gulped down… yep… he just created a living breathing individual… his power is very, very much broken…

"Shoot at that target in front of you."

The teen ordered the Stormtrooper who followed his commands.

The second he opened fire, a disappointed sigh escaped from his mouth after seeing how pathetic the Stormtrooper was.

"Yeah…this won't cut it…"  Mist gathered and made the Stormtrooper disappear.

Instead, he made a clone trooper appear this time.

"Sir? What are your orders?"

"Shoot that target for me." Once again the teen ordered the trooper to shoot.

The Clone Trooper followed his commands and opened fire. A blast of blue laser slammed right into the middle of the target.

Raynor nodded with satisfaction, this was good. Once again he used his mist and removed the clone trooper. His test has proved quite successful. When he summoned the Clone trooper he on purpose made him 'incredibly good at shooting'.

This translated into bullseye accuracy, to mix this up he repeated the same thing only with a Stormtrooper who tried to shoot at the target.

This time… the accuracy was impeccable. The Stormtrooper hit all the targets…

It was strange to see a Stormtrooper being super competent! When he created the first one it was 'to stick with the canon' mental image for Raynor. But now he made them into Sharpshooters with just a simple alteration to his idea.

It's quite terrifying how a simple 'idea' can affect the creation of an individual!

'That's as long as I keep within my limits, after all, I have seen how a sharpshooter looks. All those video game cutscenes, anime, and other stuff helps.'

'Though…does this mean I could alter someone any way I want? Except myself? But then to affect myself I need to improve my body which is sleeping at this moment?'

"Ray? Are you okay?" The teen felt a finger poking his cheek. He turned to the side and saw the silver head asking him with a smile.

"Yes. I am just slightly conflicted about how…casually I can create and erase lifeforms."

His words made her slightly thoughtful.

"As someone who has memories of Dragon God, I have some understanding of what this means. The issue is that you don't truly feel anything because of how quick the process was. Usually, it takes time and effort to create life naturally or through power. Yours way…even if it's mere thought… doesn't make you attached to them." Gu Yuena explained to him as she leaned into his shoulder. Starting another cuddling session.

"I see… I suppose it does make sense…" He said that while wrapping his hand around her waist and pulling her closer to himself.

"Say… why don't we do something interesting? You haven't seen what I can do as a Human Spirit Master…" She offered with a small smile.

"Hmm? I suppose? What's your cultivation at this moment?" Raynor asked curiously, he doesn't remember how long they stayed in Spirit Land after she transformed into a human… though this makes him confused… she can't turn into a dragon anymore… but she said she can… did his power make her powers blurry as well?

"Wait… I mean, I have my powers, I don't have Spirit Rings or Martial Spirit."

"But you said you are Spirit Master…" There was some confusion in his voice.

"...Then what should I call it? I have all my powers and ability to transform into a dragon." She asked with a confused look of her own, the assisting power is telling her that she would be a warrior. But that just sounds weak…

"I suppose… will it be a warrior? A fighter with supernatural powers? There is no certain definition since we are not in a world with one. You could just be a Silver Dragon with supernatural powers. Or ex-God, Ex-Goddess…." He offered her some basic ideas.

"...I will just stay with being your Dragon…"

"That's fine, Any ideas what you want to do?" He asked her now that they got the definition out of the way.

"Let's visit another world! Where we could fight some sort of enemies?" Gu Yuena asked with a small amount of excitement she can't wait to see something new again! Raynor's world is already unique to her, so seeing something fresh again will allow her to do a comparison to see how they differentiate.

"Any preference?"

"I don't care. I just want a place where we can fight without bothering that people will see us." She didn't mind! As long as she can get some destruction done and be able to test out herself and see something new she doesn't care!

Thinking for a bit, Raynor realised that they could do something interesting as well.  Like… Dungeon Diving?

The first thing which comes to mind is Dungeon in Danmachi. That thing is the most impressive dungeon he has seen… not that he has read many novels with dungeon systems…

Though it's good because it gives a challenge of randomness. The amount of monster it can spawn is various depending on the circumstances, like group size or how grumpy the dungeon is.

So…yeah it's the perfect place to test out some things.

"I have something in mind. Let's go."

As he said that mist gathered in front of them and then swallowed the pair.

~~~~~~Danmachi-Verse~~~~~~

The Loki Familia were returning from the expedition on the lower floors. It was a failure as they needed to retreat after reaching floor 50. Their weapons started to melt as they were exposed to strong acidic monsters.

Because of such development, the whole familia was quite annoyed that they had to retreat thanks to the acid.

This is where they were releasing their pent-up frustration on the monsters they met as they were returning to the surface.

One such incident was with a group of Minotaurs as the half-bull and half-man monsters were running away from the grumpy top-class explorers.

"We have to stop them now! They can't get to the upper floors!" The captain of Loki Familia exclaimed with some frustration as he saw several of these Minotaurs running away via stairs to upper floors.

"...I am on it." Blonde girl softly said as she used the wind to increase her speed. She effortlessly killed one of the Minotaurs along the way before proceeding to chase after the rest.

"Wait! Ais!" Finn, the Leader of Loki Familia sighed for a bit.

"We will go after her!" Bete said, one of the executives of Loki Familia, he was a werewolf with silver hair.

"Fine! Go then!" Finn allowed, and Bete with one of the Amazon girls rushed after Ais who was long gone to chase after Minotaurs.

Ais was rushing forwards through the stairs and into one of the corridors leading into the floor interior, in front of her there were several Minotaurs as she was ready to cut them down she sensed a rumble… something was approaching!

Trusting her instincts she lunged to the side, less than a second later a green blast of some sort erased everything remotely classified as living… even the walls were scorched!

The Minotaurs which were at least 5… they were all gone…

The girl slowly got up and inspected the surroundings. Everything was smoking…

'What kind of power is this… It…doesn't feel like magic… it's like pure heat… it's not even flame…' Her eyes eventually turned to the source from where this came from.

As she started to walk… her awe only grew as this thing…was long…very long… the scorch marks were everywhere!

Eventually… she saw two people leisurely walking… she acknowledged them quickly but her eyes remained on the enormous floating cylindrical thing above the man's head. It was coming out from a mist of some sort!

This…this was the source of that blast of heat!

Ais was sure she knew all the powerful people in the city. Everyone above level 4 is something she is paying attention to. But this… this person is powerful and she has never met him before!

"...Who are you?" She asked while looking at him with curiosity.

"Oh… strange I was sure there were only monsters on the path I was walking. I apologise for nearly incinerating you."

Ais slowly nodded, she quickly realised that this person was not even dressed for exploration of the dungeon. He was dressed in leisure clothing only meant for surface life, not the dungeon one.

Even the woman next to him who had an impressive spear had no body protection at all!

"...I was rushing to intercept the Minotaurs which were trying to get into the upper floors…" She explained to him, the girl then realised that the Minotaurs were taken care of… this means that her assignment was done.

This means…

She can ask for a spar!

"I see…then there is no need to worry they are gone."

The blonde nodded at his word but there was a certain look on her face.

"You are strong, can I ask for a spar?" She asked him with a serious look.

"This girl… at least tell us your name."

Only now the blonde acknowledged the other person properly… while that spear was impressive she is far more interested in facing the man who wields such destructive power.

"Loki Familia, Ais Wallenstein." The blonde introduced herself.

"...Fine…I suppose I could test myself to see how good I am against a single opponent. All my previous tries were against a large number of enemies." The man said while crossing his arms. The massive cylindrical thing simply returned into the mist. Though the mist didn't disappear at all… instead there was more of it now!

"My name is Raynor Valeron, Sword Princess, let's see how good you are."

Ais slightly narrowed her eyes, hearing the all-clear. The fight has started!

The girl kicked off with a straight attack, she wanted to see what kind of weapon he would use for close range so she went in with her sword sheet.

To her slight shock, the mist became quite dense around him! And her strike was intercepted by a spear oddly similar to the one wielded by that silver-haired woman!

Though her shock only lasted for a second as she needed to dodge another spear appearing from the side!

To counter this she increased her speed and tried to bypass these weapons and get close to the user of this mist!

Her eyes went wide when she saw her sword getting sucked into the mist!

Seeing this development she jumped back to take some distance!

"...What is this…what kind of power you wield!" Ais asked with disbelief as she tried to grasp this!

"""Ais!"""

Sure enough, she wasted enough time, enough time for her fellow familia members to catch up to her!

"...I am fine…"

"What the hell happened here? The whole corridor is scorched!" Bete exclaimed as he saw the state of this place!

"Sorry about that… I used one of my weapons here." The man, Raynor Valeron said while raising his hand, he had a slightly sheepish look on his face.

"Heh? Your job? Not bad! Haven't seen you around here."

"Just arrived in the city. Anyway, Ais should be finishing the spar or I can continue with my journey to the interior of the Dungeon?"

Hearing that he will move on, Ais got very serious.

"...Yes. Let's continue. I have a request… Can I use my magic as well?" She asked seriously. The girl can't see another way to fight this guy.

"Hold on! You seriously want to use Ariel on a human!?" Bete exclaimed with pure shock! Her magic can easily slaughter a person! It's meant for monsters only!

"Very well. We can do that…" As he said that winds started to gather around the blonde girl.

While more mist appeared around Raynor.
