The Games We Play: Dreamer c2

Raynor looked at Ais Wallenstein in front of him. He was almost showing on his face how giddy he was! For one he was in an anime world! For a second he was living his dream as a weeb. Visiting a dungeon! Three, in front of him, was a hot blonde girl who could most likely accidentally kill him.

'Hmm… the third one doesn't fit… at least the later half, yeah a hot blonde is enough…'

Oh, here she comes.'

Ais dashed right at the black-haired teen, the mist around him was instructed to allow him to see much faster enemies than he is…and since Ais is level 5, her wind empowerment makes her even faster than regular Level 5's.

Though the moment she was close her movement became absurdly slow to Raynor, first his mist drained her wind, and then he made Silver Dragon King Spears manifest around her making her instantly stop in her tracks! As her eyes widened to a large degree from sheer shock seeing all these weapons lock her in place!

Finally… a barrel of a Turbolaser pointed at her head. The Turbolaser in question is from an Imperial Star Destroyer. He started creating one inside his Dreamscape. The project was not as fast as he thought he would. Compiling all the known information after watching Star Wars and Star Wars-related information helped a lot, he found out that he saw a proper illustration of what the interior looks like. Once he finishes with one he could just copy it over and over again. Creating a huge ass Armada of Civilization killer ships…

But at this moment…  a single barrel from an array of 60 is enough… though he still should try to see what an Ion cannon can do against a monster…

When Ais realised what happened, especially when the barrel was pointed at her head, her eyes stayed on the barrel of the turbolaser, realised that she lost!

Instantaneously!

"...I give up…"

The moment she said the spears retracted and same with the Turbolaser barrel.

"...You made me slower in the mist… I think… because the spears moved even faster than me… I had never seen anything like that before." The blonde said with awe and despair at the same time.

"So you did notice it." Raynor acknowledged her observation with a small smile.

"...So you did…" The blonde nodded with realisation.

"...No way… Ais lost… who is this person!?" The Amazon girl exclaimed with disbelief.

"This guy, what kind of abilities are those?" The Werewolf said with a frown. He can't grasp these powers either, the whole thing lasted less than a second!

"Well, I have won. Let's go Yuena, we still have to wreak havoc in the dungeon."

The silver head slowly nodded as they started to walk. Raynor noticed how fiercely the blonde was looking at him. He could see… some frantic need in her eyes.

'This girl… I think she could give Sasuke a run for his money with her lust for power.

Well… girls are always more emotional than guys.' Thinking internally while she looks almost docile it instantly changes when someone shows a black dragon to her. It's instant slaughtering time for her.

Though Raynor stopped right in front of her. There was a thoughtful look on his face.

"I can see that you want power. No, more like you NEED power, yes?"

Ais instantly nodded her head. She was wondering what he wanted to say with this?

"Then why don't you come with us to the depths of the dungeon? You know this place better than I do, you can be our guide. In return, I will help you master that wind magic you have…"

He did a small demonstration with his wind, he turned the wind into a sleek line of hyper condense wind and sliced multiple rocks cleanly.

All this happened nearly instantaneously which made the blonde look at her surroundings with shock and saw awe as well.

She never saw someone use wind like that!

Before she can agree her gaze went to her sword, Her sword, Desperate. It got dull after the events on floor 50…

"...I would like to, but my weapon…" She said with a frustrated look. Her sword is very powerful AND expensive, crafted by a Blacksmith God himself. Not just anyone can do maintenance on it.

Ais fellow Familia members were relieved that Ais declined at the same time they were disappointed since this was an intriguing opportunity for Ais!

"I see… well then…" As Raynor said that once again mist gathered around his hands it took the form of a Sword… a very familiar sword for Ais! It was her Sword! The blonde even looked at her hip to make sure it was there even though she could feel the weapon's weight!

"Holy! What kind of power is that? C-Can you make any weapon!?" The Amazon girl asked with wide eyes, her question got the attention of the teen.

Seeing him looking at her, she quickly introduced herself.

"Right! Sorry! I am Tiona Hiryute! I am from the same Familia as Ais here!" She waved her hand in a friendly manner.

"If I want to, then yes. Though I want to see how much I can improve Ais' wind." As he answered the Amazon girl's question he handed over the weapon to the blonde who was still looking with disbelief when she felt the sword.

The weight was the same… the colour… even the blade and the balance! Everything was the same! Though there was a difference… the blade was not dull. And there was more to it!

But she can't say what was different from her original weapon!

"...This sword… it's the same…but not?" As Ais said while inspecting it and doing a few swings. Her curiosity is piqued.

"I took liberty in making it better, you can channel your 'Ariel' better through it. You should technically make it condense way better at the blade. And most importantly, it can't get dull or break."

Raynor used the concept from Valyrian steel used in A song of Ice and Fire universe where the Valyrian steel is in a permanent state of always being sharp and doesn't change its shape.

"...Hold a second! You improved on the work of God!?" The werewolf had to ask! This was bonkers no matter how you look at this!

"...Yes? While it is the work of God they don't use Arcana here. This means it can be improved, ability-wise." Raynor explained quite simply which made Bete look at him quite dumbly.

"...but you made it with a mist!" He pointed out how the weapon was made!

"Your point?"

"The weapon is real." Ais chipped in from the side as she finished with her tests. The girl confirmed that the weapon she wields is the real deal!

People already saw how this blonde had stars in her eyes! By all means, she wants to keep Raynor around just so that he could make weapons for her!

"Wait! It is!?" The silver werewolf said with a dumb look. He thought that all those mist-summoned weapons were temporary!

They have to! What kind of bullshit power is this!?

The blonde simply nodded before looking at Raynor.

"I will join you for this journey." She said with a nod, the girl is very hopeful that he will show her some tricks about the wind, truthfully she already has been bought twice over!

She got an improved sword after all!

"Ais…"

"Hey! I wanna join too!"

Her fellow Familia members had different expressions on their faces, the Amazone girl wanted to join as it was looking interesting, while the werewolf was not certain about all of this.

Though it didn't last long as the rest of the Loki Familia was there.

Raynor's eyes for a second stayed on the green haired elven woman. He looked at her ears for a bit. Finally, he saw a real Elf!

"What is going on here? Can anyone tell me what happened to the corridor?" Finn, the Loki Familia captain asked, his eyes went on Ais who was standing next to an unfamiliar teenager and…dangerous looking Silver haired woman. His instincts were telling him this was… a unique and powerful woman.

"Finn… I will be following these two to the depth of the dungeon." Ais said with a simple tone. There was no emotion in her voice, it was so simple sounding…

She will go with two unfamiliar people in the dungeon? What could go wrong? That's how Ais explained to her…pretty much.

"What?"

"Get this captain! This guy here can make things from Mist! He beat Ais in a few seconds! And he recreated her Sword! Made it even better!" Bete explained to Finn as he walked over to the Loki Familia side.

"Oh?"

Finn and the rest of Loki Familia got on edge, a Level 5 beaten in seconds? That sounds like Level 7 or even above that! Truthfully maybe even more! Since Ais is powerful enough to challenge a Level 6… so a Level 7 should not be able to beat her in just seconds… So a Level 8? Or even Level 9!?

Though what made them on edge is that Ais got beaten and her need for power started to hunger… she met someone much more powerful than she is… it's a perfect opportunity for her to improve rapidly once again.

This means… stopping her now is pretty much impossible…

"I see… I would like to ask what your name is, and which familia are you from?" Finn asked him curiously. He will dig up some information about him later on he finds the name and his Familia.

"Raynor Valeron, and I am not a member of any Familia, this means you don't need to worry that I will try to make your Sword Princess join my Familia."

"""!!!"""

Everyone…especially Ais looked at him with utterly wide eyes. The girl could not believe she lost to someone who doesn't have God's blessing!!!

"No…way… then…how? You are blessed by a Spirit then!?" The elf lady asked her mind trying to grasp something! Anything to make sense of this!

"My boyfriend awakened a unique power… this power is extremely potent…the first thing he did was he liberated my Continent from oppression. He crushed armies himself… I don't think he needs God's blessing." Gu Yuena spoke for the first time as she wanted to clarify but not to explain too much.

Hearing her speak for the first time made everyone look at her, this was because of how smooth and soft her voice was.

Though people were intrigued and terrified to understand more about the Content she speaks of and what kind of oppression it was… it was after all natural curiosity! However many refrained from that, others didn't want to question without Captain's permission.

While Ais just stared at Raynor for several moments, there was a certain realisation in her eyes. Not that she said anything about what she was thinking. No, this is something she will keep to herself. Though… this made her more excited to get this trip started!

"In that case…"

"Finn, I will go with them." The green-haired elf volunteered herself, for this, as a mage her weapon is magic.

"...*Sigh* Fine, Riveria you can go with them. How about supplies? How long are you going to be there?" Finn sighed before asking about supplies. He swiftly got a response from Raynor.

"Don't worry about those. We can stay here for years."

Ais' eyes glittered when she heard that! This only made her Familia members groan. Is this guy purposely feeding her with all of this!?

How are they going to get her back to the surface if they can stay there for years!?

"...While it sounds great, staying there for years… is well not recommended."

"I know. I am only saying that we could not do what we would, this means there is no need to worry about supplies."

"Let me guess… your mist?" Finn asked with a nearly deadpan look, this guy is a cheat… people in Orario work their asses off to gain strength while this guy just unlocked his power and went on some sort of liberation quest?

"Yep." As Raynor said, he called his mist which formed into a juicy-looking apple, and he started to eat it, right there in front of everyone.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"So… can I come as well!?" Tiona, the cheerful Amazon girl said with a bright smile, this already sounds like a fascinating trip she wants to be part of!

"No."

But Finn's serious voice stopped her in her tracks!

"B-But Captain!"

"No. Or do you want to explain to Loki what happened to three of her executives who went to Dungeon diving in the middle of a return trip?

I don't want to be the one who has to explain all of this." He crossed his hands and shook his head. He might be a Pallum, making him short in height but his sheer presence and Leadership make up for his height.

"...Fine…"

"Great, this means we can proceed. Don't worry all the magic stones will go to Ais, I have no use for them."

This made Finn and the rest of Loki Familia look at him weirdly.

"...you know that it's money don't you?" The Captain of Loki Familia said with some uncertainty. He can't see through this person at all!

He will want Ais to come with him, and most likely he wants her to work as a guide. But then… if he can slaughter this many monsters on his own the amount of Magic Stones… Finn can't seem to find the angle of this… it's… so random to him!

"Not an issue… anyway… let's move! I still have a few things to try and show a few wind tricks for you Ais!" Raynor motioned to move on.

The blonde nodded extra eagerly at him when she heard that!

The Loki familia lets them pass as they are moving to the stairs which will take them down.

"It was nice to meet you, Captain of Loki Familia. Give my best regards to your Goddess."

Finn grimaced when he heard him talking about their Goddess… she will flip once she learns that Ais is gone for an even longer period than originally expected…

"...Ray…"

"What is it?"

"Can you… lower the amount of copies of my spear you make?" Gu Yuena said to him while hugging his arm.

"...why?"

"It's… kind of makes it less special when you just make copies and copies of it… you know that it's a special weapon? One of a kind? Comes with my identity kind of thing?" The more she said it the more she pouted at him!

"...Fine… I suppose I can replace its use with a different colouration? Make it Gold and Red? Slightly different shape?" The more he mentioned the 'other' Spear, a very specific spear it made one of the dragon girl's hands move towards his nose.

Squeezing it.

"You can make any weapon you want but you chose that Spear? Now you're just asking for trouble!" She exclaimed with an annoyed tone.

"Fine… I won't use the Golden Dragon King spear. I might as well copy Saint Spear or the Longinus…" Raynor caved in pretty quick, this was not important enough for him to make his Dragoness get angry at him for such a simple reason.

"Golden Dragon Spear?" Ais immediately perked up when she heard 'Dragon'. And it was not just any Dragon but a King as well!

"Yeah, it's a spear wielded by a Golden Dragon King. One half of a Dragon God."

"...A Spear wielded by a Dragon? They can do that?" The blonde was confused, while Riveria picked up on this… he indirectly told the identity of this Silver Haired woman… somehow she is related to this Dragon God… she never heard of such a being…

"We can…" Gu Yuena said as she lifted her hand and showed the spear.

"...You are a… Dragon?" Ais asked while her hand twitched towards her sword.

"A Dragon King, yes…don't confuse me with mindless monsters in this dungeon." The Silver Dragoness said while rolling her eyes.

"...I never heard there are Dragon people… nowhere in this continent… and I have seen many different species," Riveria said while frowning.

'They truly are not from our continent… even though our continent is wide… they would mention dragons who can take human-like forms…'

"We are not from this continent as I already mentioned before. I have heard about this Dungeon even back in my place. It's extremely famous. This is why we are here."

Now that he explained properly the elf woman nodded while Ais didn't know how to look at Gu Yuena anymore!

"We have arrived at floor 11…this floor has Orcs, Silverbacks, and sometimes Infant Dragon's spawn here," Riveria said as she raised her guard significantly while looking around, trying to see any sort of monsters.

"Mist huh?" Raynor said that while seeing mist in front of him… he send out his mist and started to spread out

Seconds later the mist was simply gone, revealing all the monsters in the open field. There are dead trees in this place. The very same dead trees which are being used by the Orcs.

Though this was not the end as the next moment transparent walls appeared which separated monster from monster.

Ais and Riveria's eyes stayed on what they just saw, what kind of power is this? He has such free manipulation with that mist!

"Ais, you are going to show me how you are going to use your Ariel on these monsters, Once I have a clear idea then we can start improving it," Raynor said with crossed arms as he looked at those orcs. They look disgusting…

Humanoid pigs with green skin, towering over people, most likely over 2,5 to 3 metres tall, the only clothes they have are old loincloths…

Very gross to look at.

"...I understand…"

Without wasting time the blonde pulled out her sword and the wind started to gather around her.

That moment the teen made one of the Orc leave their small enclosed area. The green monster started to walk towards Ais who went forward and sliced the green thing with minimum effort. This was, way, way overkill for a Level 5 hunt a Level 1 with her Magic…

"Did you ever actively train your magic? Like you do your swordsmanship?" Raynor asked her after observing her display.

Ais slowly shook her head.

"...No, I used it in the dungeon when we were in deep floors. Otherwise, it's overkill to do it." The blonde explained to her.

"I see… Well, we can start with characteristics of wind. Have you ever seen what a tornado looks like?" He asked her curiously as he crossed his arms and recalled tornadoes.

"...No." She shook her head and looked confused and intrigued about what this 'tornado' was.

" I see… well your Ariel, the way you utilise is a Tornado at its infant phase. It's a wind phenomenon when the wind rapidly spins and creates a cylinder of wind. It forms from a cloud and descends to the ground. The damage it can do to cities and villages depends on its power. The weakest it can do is lift a few things and throw them away… at its strongest, it could rip off buildings and easily lift people and cattle, the force could easily kill normal people."

As Raynor explained he made mist gather around one of the Orcs as he started to make a tornado manifest with the orc in the middle of it.

Thankfully the barriers were in place so they could observe the tornado manifest without worrying about being affected… The same could not be said about the green orc who was lifted and spun around before being thrown away into a wall… dead.

Ais looked at this with a hawk-like gaze. The girl never experimented with her power to a certain extent because of how dangerous it is. But she could do that in a dungeon!

Just like now! While Riveria… the elf lady could only gulp down nervously seeing what this teenager could do! It's already beyond what normal mages are supposed to do… hell, he is not even following or doing what mages are supposed to do! No chanting…no…nothing!

It's quite abnormal, similar to how Ais 'Ariel' is!

"Did you see it?"

"...Yes."

"Tell me what did you see?" He asked curiously as the tornado subsided in front of them.

"Wind flows in a circle? It's extremely fast which made such a big cylinder manifest?" The girl explained to him what she saw.

"True… however you need to understand that this was formed from several different winds. Have you ever noticed that the wind can be just as cold as warm? Dry or moist?"

Her eyes slightly widened as she recalled several of such events when the wind was either moist or dry.

"Yes, you see tornados don't just form because of strong wind. You need certain conditions to be met. This is why wind is… very good when you mix with certain elements." As Raynor said he showed another tornado… this time… it was what is called 'Fire Devil'. A fire whirl which he made spin faster and more intense… he burned a few orcs as he allowed the flames tornado to spread and burn away more than just a few of these monsters.

"Fire works with wind just as much as water does. Water Tornadoes can be very dangerous as they form in seas and oceans. A ship will have a very hard time escaping one." As he explained the Fire Devil settled down dropping a few charred orcs to the ground. The other smaller monsters like the imps were completely consumed by the flames.

"See? Now let's practise shall we?"

Ais simply nodded, it didn't cross her mind that she could do that with fire or even water! She could practise this in the bath!

Riveria, who saw how the blonde was looking, could only massage her forehead. This kid… is putting Ais on a very dangerous path!

While Gu Yuena nodded multiple times when she saw those tornadoes. She never thought to try to copy the weather phenomenon before. Not that she had lots of chances to try out!

After the demonstration, Raynor observed Ais trying to control the wind in new ways. It wasn't as easy as it was for him. He controls things through his 'Daydreams' all he needs to do is simply imagine and want it… while Ais has to put in actual effort.

This is why he helped her by watching how wind currents flow.

Instead of being an overbearing control freak, he told her to just simply make it flow like a current of wind. It did help as she used the sword to make the wind flow.

"Now try to make a small tornado around your blade,"

He instructed the blonde who nodded at him and did just that. Her attack shredded a whole bunch of monsters in her path as she made the wind extra sharp upon her release. Not only did they get cut but the wind was able to pick them up and spin them out into the distance.

'Ais progress is absurd, this boy knows what he is talking about. Each thing he tells, Ais absorbs like a sponge. Now she doesn't even need to use Lil Rafaga as there are different ways to use her wind.' Riveria noted this as they were on floor 15, and by this point only Ais and that Dragon girl killed monsters.

While Raynor only instructed the blonde girl and nothing else for a few floors now.

"Not bad, not bad at all… Ais did you know that you could fly with wind? Or at least glide?"

To his words, the girl slowly nodded.

"...Yes. I tried to glide several times before." She confirmed that she was able to do it.

"Good to hear, apart from flying you can use wind to increase your running speed. All you need to do is make it push you while making the resistance in front of you lessen as much as possible."  As he said that he showed me how to do it. Just like before he made the wind visible so that Ais could see how it looked.

Just like before the girl seriously nodded and observed how Raynor did it.

After spending most of the day training Ais it was time for a break.

The teen created several transparent walls which keep monsters out, then he created several chairs and a table.

Moments later warm food appeared on the table. Ais who was the most hungry of them all gulped down seeing such a feast just appear like that!

"...this is convenient… do you like to join Loki Familia? I am certain that Goddess Loki would welcome you with open arms." Riveria said with a small smile as she looked at the feast. Having such an asset would lower the logistic requirements for the whole Familia! Doing deep dives into the dungeon would lower the amount of preparations and they would save a large amount of money!

Ais who heard that instantly nodded several times!

Yes! Having Raynor around would help her grow faster by several times! Just now in a single day, she learned a multitude of new ways to use her Ariel!

Not to mention her new sword was amazing to wield! Especially with the wind! It's like it's part of the wind itself!

"No, I won't be staying in Orario for long, we arrived here to have some fun in the Dungeon. We will be leaving soon." Raynor declined the offer as he shook his head.

Ais who heard that for a second looked at him with a quiet look. Her mood went sour the very next moment, something she didn't even understand herself!

While Riveria was relieved and disappointed. Having such…person join her Familia would catapult them into the top spot over Freya and her Familia. Though she can see the dangers of such a person… Loki would have a very hard time keeping him in her family Gods and Goddesses would throw things at him just to get him to join their Familia.

Not to mention he would come with baggage which is the Silver-Haired Dragon girl…

"Sad to hear it but understandable."

After a short talk, everyone started to eat their food. For a moment Ais forgot the part where Raynor will be leaving.

Dungeon diving with Raynor is luxury, to say the least as the only thing the blonde Sword Princess has to do is swing her sword and practise her Ariel. Even the monsters would get separated and keep away until she dealt with the other ones.

This allowed her to focus purely on her practice and training.

As she was getting better and their speed increased. By the next day, they were on Floor 17.

"This is where the first Monster Rex spawns. The Goliath." Riveria said as they were standing not far from what is called the wall of grief.

"The Goliath is not strong. If need be I can take care of it." Ais honestly said to Raynor as she doesn't see the Monster as an issue.

"Though it should not respawn any time soon, it has only been two days since we took care of it. " The green-haired elf lady said with a thoughtful look. She was mentally counting the days.

"I see… does it mean that the stronger the monster the longer the period of respawn?" Gu Yuena asked as she was thinking of facing one of these 'floor bosses' herself.

"Yes. It takes around two weeks for Goliath to reappear, the Guild classified it as a Level 4 Monster Rex." Riveria explained to the Silver-Haired Dragoness.

"Hmm… Ray… we could return here in two weeks? Yes?" The girl asked while hugging his arm. Ais observed the silver-haired girl's behaviour quite curiously. Is this how she asks him of things!? Curious. According to Riveria, this is how couples do things.

So-called 'acting cute' and since they are a couple this is easier for the girl to make him do things… It was strange for Ais as she never saw anything like that! There are no couples in Loki Familia…

"Sure… I suppose we could return later…"

Hearing how easily Raynor caved in it made Ais even more curious… could this woman ask other things? Since… he could make weapons appear easily…

'Could he make Dragonslayer weapons? Or some other things to help me kill IT!?'  One part of the blonde though with some small amount of glee.

While Riveria could only facepalm again… Loki will have her hide for this… exposing to such a weird couple is not good for Ais who is sheltered and power-obsessed. It could warp the way she sees relationships…

"Great! So let's see this safe floor and then we can return home." Gu Yuena suggested what to do next.

To which Raynor agreed, they had already been here for over a day, and he taught Ais those wind element tricks.

Plus… he killed, burned and erased a multitude of monsters… so he did have fun…

Though, most of his fun was using his weeb knowledge to make Ais stronger… he was feeling like he was playing RPG and levelling the girl up!

"Yes, fine by me." The teen agreed with his Dragoness Girlfriend. Staying in the dungeon for an extended amount of time starting to get dull.

To get to Floor 18 which is below the one they are on, they need to take slides or take the main stairs… the main stairs usually are guarded by Goliath, who is dead… so they don't need to bother with anything.

After taking the stairs, they finally arrived at Floor 18 which impressed Raynor with its beauty… It's like a hidden paradise, with an impressive lake and forests. The whole thing is illuminated by crystals on the ceiling which imitate the day and night cycle.

'It's like seeing that last most important monument before packing all your things and going home…' The teen mused to himself as he looked at the lush vegetation so deeply underground.
