Tuna's Redemption Part 1 (HI3 AU, SoL)

A heroic-looking girl with white hair combed into a ponytail, dressed in white and red clothes with a cape and a big red greatsword, was fighting a guy dressed in black and dark grey armour.

Her sword tries to land a hit, but it stops midway as if an invisible force stops it.

The girl's eyes, which were blue with rhombus-shaped white pupils, were glowing with supernatural power.

“I said I was sorry!” The girl loudly exclaimed as she was pushed back with supernatural force.

Instead of getting an answer, blocks of frozen stones supercharged by red lightning slammed into her, sending her flying through several buildings.

‘Damn… he already mastered Mei-senpai’s powers!’ 

The girl tried to push the blocks away, but they were absurdly heavy.

Not only did her opponent have the power of four Herrschers, but these powers were in the hands of a nerd.

A nerd who is angry at her!

The reason for his anger was mundane, but the Will of Honkai inflated his rage.

The source of his anger was that he was chasing her in high school. Kiana didn’t realise and… sort of used him. He helped her with homework and gave her food since she was incapable of caring about herself. 

Kiana even forgot about him when Mei appeared.  Then the Nagazora incident happened, and the white-haired girl thought that he died.

That was until he became the Herrscher of Stars and slaughtered his way through Herrscher of Ice, taking Bronya’s powers of Reason. With that power, he became insanely powerful. Powerful enough to face anyone, including another two Herrschers.

Then he took Mei’s power, and now it was just her.

“Since we can’t be together, there is no need for this world to exist anymore, Kiana.”

An alien voice said from the air as Kiana looked up. Her eyes bulged out as she saw…

Moon entering the atmosphere!

“...H-Hold it! I-I am sure…we can discuss this!” She loudly exclaimed as her flaming sword surged and shattered the boulder holding her.

‘Damn! Just how much Honkai is he wielding!?’ 

After taking a deep breath, her powers surged as her sword increased in size before taking a massive swing and releasing a torrent of flames at an incoming celestial body.

“You are strong. But your power is nowhere near my anger.” As he motioned at the sky, the moon shattered into millions of pieces. All the meteorites were several kilometres in size. 

Even if the swing shattered hundreds of them, there were thousands more.

‘Damn it all!!! If only—’

The girl lowered her blade as she saw all the meteorites crashing into the planet. This was game over as the sky turned red, and explosions followed.

After that, her world turned white.

The next thing Kiana knew was that she was sitting in a classroom. 

‘Huh?’

Her first reaction was confusion, then disbelief before shifting into a pondering look.

“Valeron, do you know the answer?”

‘!’

“Yes, it’s four.”

‘That nerdy voice! Damn! This place looks like my past!’ 

Kiana’s gaze went to the guy sitting several tables before her.

When she saw his black hair, she saw an image of a man dressed in black and dark grey armour with a furious look.

His grey rhombus pupils were glowing with nearly infinite energy. He was a person who single-handedly ended life on the planet. 

‘I could just…’ 

For a second, she thought of snapping his neck and not allowing him to become a Herrscher, but then she remembered who she was and the disappointed look of her Mei-senpai. She still remembered the older girl's look when she revealed what she had done in high school to this guy.

‘I mean… I never put much emphasis on guys… how should I know that he liked me?’

She only learned that after he became a Herrscher.

That’s right. He never said anything, but then again, now that she thinks about it, he was taking care of her almost the same way Mei-senpai was.

‘Did she ever like me in the first place?’ Honestly, now that she was back and had started reflecting on those things, she felt strange emotions.

This emotional stuff was never her forte; she prefers to blast her way to fight. 

But now, what she will do?

‘When he became a Herrscher, he was an unstoppable force. If I could make him join the human side, we should be victorious with such a Herrscher.

But how?’ 

Now that she was in the past, she could fix all those issues. For a second, she recalled the red-haired Valkyrie who sacrificed herself to help her regain control.

Her heart clenched hard. 

‘That’s in the future. First, I need to make him join us!’

Kiana got serious, but then she realised she needed to make this work. 

For him to join her…

The white-haired girl realised that this could only work if they were friends. 

‘But he likes me… so…’ 

She then realised she could use that, but then she swiftly shook her head.

If she is to use him, it could lead to that horrible scenario.

‘This means I need to make him my boyfriend! And when the time is right, I have to help him overcome what happened to me and the evil side of Sirin!’ 

The girl sagely nodded to herself! She has a plan! Now, work on it and wait for the right time!

‘What’s the matter with her? She has been staring at me for the whole class.’ Raynor frowned to himself as he wondered why she started to bother with him.

Before this, it was he who needed to get her attention. Now, it's the opposite.

‘Did she realise that she didn’t finish her homework?’

The teen slightly smirked to himself. It took him a little while, but he realised that she was a hardcore lesbian, and he had no chance.

So he stopped trying to get her attention.

Hell, she would eat quite a bit of his stuff, and on top of that, he would waste his time with her. Now, he can use all that time getting some stock trading done to earn extra cash.

Anyway, he realised it was a waste of time; just thinking about it made him slightly angry.

“Ray! Wait, c-can I speak with you?” Kiana almost glided to his side as she looked like a cute little animal.

“Hmm? What is it? I am busy. Go bother your Mei-senpai.” Raynor rolled his eyes as he swung his backpack over his shoulder and started to walk towards the doors.

His attitude made the white-haired girl stop in her tracks and gaze at the teen who was walking away from her.

‘W-Wait! What is the specific time I got sent back!?’

Kiana tried to figure it out, but it took her a few moments to get the idea. 

Her eyes widened as she grasped where she was! It was just past the time when Mei-senpai’s father got arrested.

A grimace appeared on her face as she realised that her task just become several fold more difficult.

‘Damn…what now?’ 

She walked in a different direction, towards the roof. 

After taking the stairs, she opened the doors and looked around. Her eyes widened for a second as she saw someone already there.

“...Mei…senpai…” 

Mei was Kiana’s senior in school by a year, so she was slightly more mature. But when Kiana saw her eyes, she immediately realised this was different… Mei.

“...Mei-senpai!” The white-haired girl slowly walked over. 

The purple-haired girl observed Kiana for a few seconds. She realised something as well. This Kiana was different.

“So… it’s not only me who was sent back,” Mei said with a soft but quite serious tone. It was not gentle as she used to remember.

“...Yes…” Kiana nodded. She was extremely happy to see Mei, but at the same time, she was a little bit afraid to talk with her.

“...”

“...”

“...Mei-senpai about…” Kiana tried to breach the subject.

“That Herrscher?”

“...Yes.”

“Are you going to use him again?” Mei asked with a frown. 

The white-haired girl grimaced.

‘Yep, she is very mad about that. I guess being killed by him only increased that.’ 

“N-No! I Won’t! This time, I will make it right!” Kiana clenched her fist with a serious look on her face.

“...We will see. Because I am planning to make it right as well,” Mei said. Turning away from Kiana and towards the walkway, she could see Raynor walking towards the street.

“...What are you planning to do?” She asked Mei with some concern.

‘Is Mei-senpai planning to become his girlfriend as well!? But why!?’

‘Did he say something to her before he killed her?’ 

Kiana is starting to get even more anxious.

“If he is to become Herrscher, I want to be there so that I could help him control his power or…kill him, or at least try to kill him.” Mei frowned while saying that; she recalled how he manhandled her and pierced her heart with little to no effort. His speed in mastering his gravity powers made her lightning ineffective.

“...Leave that to me!” Kiana interrupted her thoughts with a reply.

“...No.”

“...B-But…”

“This is not fighting. This is bonding. He needs to have a special someone. Family could help, but I have no idea how good their resistance to honkai is. That is why I will try to become his girlfriend.” 

Kiana paled when she heard that. This was her idea!

“...Mei-senpai! How do you know he will accept it? He is already suspicious.”

“I know. It was something you did.” The purple-haired girl, with a frown, reminded Kiana of her handiwork.

The next day, Kiana tried to approach Raynor somehow, but he ignored her or simply walked away.

That made her realise that he was quite angry with her. Now, she wondered how much Honkai needed to influence him to become what she remembered.

‘But, it was three years from now…’ 

The girl frowned as she recalled. 

‘I suppose I should switch to tactics I used on Mei-senpai to get his attention.’

“...I won’t be feeding you anymore.” He said that while shielding his food from her.

“I don’t want it!”

“Are you saying it's bad now? I've been feeding you for months before!” He got defensive about his food.

“Gah! Not that, I just want to talk with you! But you kept dodging me!” Kiana huffed at him. 

“Then talk.” He motioned to get over it.

But the girl looked around; there were a bunch of people still in the class.

“Can we go somewhere else?” 

To her request, he rolled his eyes and replied with a flat ‘no’.

‘Damn it all! Is this how it feels like to get rejected constantly?’

The girl, obviously awkward, gives up. She knows Mei-senpai is planning something as well.

After dinner, it was time for classes again.

Raynor quickly noticed some changes in Kiana. She was not trying to speak with Mei; the girl just spent time staring at him.

Honestly, he had never experienced anything like this before 

Did Mei notice what Kiana was trying to do? Because of that, she pushed her back. Now she is trying something with me?

I have no time for this shit anymore!’

He frowned and then frowned some more. Eventually, classes ended, and it was time to go home.

As Raynor left his desk and walked outside, he noticed a senior. It was Mei. 

‘What now….’

“May I have a moment of your time?”

Sigh

“Fine. Both of you are weird as it gets.” He said that out loud as behind him was Kiana. 

“We are not weird! We just want to talk!” Kiana huffed loudly.

“Don’t mind her. She is very awkward when it comes to interactions.” Mei explained to him as she motioned to follow her.

‘W-Wait! Is Mei-senpai sacrificing me!?’

Kiana realised that this most likely would be like Nagazora all over again.

With a worried look, she followed after them. There is no way she can let all that happen!

The purple-haired girl brought them to the roof.

“...This feels like a confession.” Raynor openly commented
