Spirit Farm (DD) c6

I activated my third ring and rushed at the cloaked guy.

“Don’t get cocky, kid! You are a mere Spirit Elder!” The guy’s one of the rings activated, and his fist glowed with power.

“Can’t you be any more slower?” I exclaimed before disappearing, entering the farmstead and reappearing behind him. That moment, I summoned my hoe, flipped it to the other side and then swung it upwards like a hook.

The farming tool was utilised as a ‘torture’ device as the sharp end ended up hooking the cloaked guy’s ass. 

“Aghhhh!!!!” The guy screamed from the top of his lungs from pain as he tried to snap at me, but I was already gone.

This time, I appeared in front and kicked him in the balls.

“AGHHHHH!!!!”

The cloaked man ended up in the fetal position as he was twitching and spasming on the ground while holding his crotch. 

“Fuck cultivation. As you can see, you can be Spirit ‘whatever’ rank, but you still drop to your knees the moment a foot ends up smacking your balls.” I sagely said as I dismissed my Hoe.

I looked at the other cloaked guy and the piggy trying to run away, but my crescent ball hurt the guy quite a bit. There is not much difference in our cultivations, as I am already Rank 40. 

I walked over to the two.

“P-Please don’t hurt me!!!” The piggy begged as it was twitching and spasming on the ground. Drool, sweat and nose content were all over him, mixed with blood. The guy looked like a mess.

“...Eww… you disgusting fat pig…” I turned around, looking away. That sight is going to haunt me for a while.

“Yeah… I suppose I had enough fun for one day.” 

As I walked away, I noticed many people were watching what I did.

One of them was a brown-haired girl with rabbit ear-like accessories looking at me with intense eyes.

‘Isn’t that Xiao Wu? What does the rabbit want.’

I walked away while pondering why she looked at me like that.

But then she appeared in front of me when I was some distance away from where the action happened.

“...Are you perhaps like me?” She asked me while looking at me curiously from several angles.

‘Do I smell like Spirit Beast or something? Well, I do cuddle with my savanna cat a lot…’ 

“You need to be more specific, rabbit girl,” I said with a sign.

“I mean, are you… a spirit beast?” She asked me while slightly leaning forward, pretending to whisper.

“Not quite, but I raise spirit beasts and spirit plants.” I made my feline appear in my hands. It had brown fur with yellow spots, big ears and a long tail.

“...Whoa…” She looked mesmerised seeing me holding a spirit beast like a pet.

“...I never expected to see such a thing. Spirit Beasts are weary of humans!” The girl clapped her hands as she looked excited.

“Yeah, sort of, anyway, rabbit girl, what is your name?”

“Oh, right! I am Xiao Wu, Rank 12 Soft Boned Rabbit, Agility Attack System Spirit Master!” The girl introduced herself as if she was a Magic Girl or a Power Ranger…

“...Right…” I deadpanned for a second.

“Bai Chen.” Unlike her, I only said my name, which made her pout for a bit.

“What is with that introduction!?” She complained to me. 

“Sorry, we are not in the academy. I don’t need to announce my cultivation, little rabbit.” 

“L-Little!? Our sizes are identical!” She looked quite offended.

“Yeah, but I don’t have Xiao in my name.” I shrugged at her while stroking my serval-like cat. It was big; I could barely hold it in my hands, but it was worth it. The pet was cuddly and warm.

“T-That doesn’t matter!” She huffed at me.

“Well, if you insist… so what else do you want?” I asked while stroking my cat.

The girl looked slightly interested in the animal, and she kept on looking.

“W-Well… I am thinking… if we could be friends?” She asked while fiddling with her blue uniform. It looked like she was a student in the academy.

“Hmm? I guess…” 

‘Never expected to be ‘friends’ with main Heroine. I do wonder if this will trigger Tang San…’

“Great! Then, brother Chen! Do you want to do something?” She asked with an excited tone.

“Hmm, do you have anything in mind?” I asked her as I dismissed my feline. It was enough showing off. 

For a second, she looked at how I did it before snapping out from the wonderment.

“Hmm… my brother San’s master is crippled after getting poisoned by Datura Snake, one of his legs is no longer functioning.” The girl sounded sad.

“So I was wondering if we could get a walking stick or something like that.” The rabbit girl proposed to me.

‘She is obviously broke, so that I will be buying. But this is fine. This information is worth spending a couple of coins.’

“Oh, by any chance, your brother San has blue hair?” 

“Yes, you know him?” Xiao Wu looked excited for a second.

“I was the one who sent that Datura Snake packing and then got some poison for your brother so that he could make the antidote.”

I explained to her my connection to Yu Xiaogang and Tang San.

“Oh wow! So you saved Brother San’s Master! You are quite strong, aren’t you?” 

Her behaviour somewhat spooked me. Isn’t she quite suspicious of people? But she quickly became attached to me because I smelled like Spirit Beast…

Hell, she even believes everything I say.

“I guess… but I am only Rank 40…” He shrugged. Not Titled Duoluo yet… so I can’t truly flex… yet.

“...R–Rank 40!? But you don’t look older than me!”

‘Older than you? This stupid rabbit is 100 thousand years old! And she has the ball to say that!?’

“Yeah. I am not a hundred thousand year—” 

The rabbit girl placed her hand on my lips, stopping me midway.

“Shhh! That doesn’t count! My age has been reset! So let’s go shopping now! Brother Chen!”

She grabbed my hand and started to pull me towards the shopping district.

“Xiao Wu! Where are you?” Tang San walked around as she looked for her roommate.

He got somewhat attached to the girl…

As he continued to look, he eventually found her sitting with the guy who had saved him and his master from Datura Snake and even got him poison to make the antidote!

They were eating at an outside table in a restaurant…

‘What is he doing here?’ 

The blue-haired boy got somewhat territorial as Xiao Wu was his roommate and friend!

“Xiao Wu! There you are!” 

“Hmm? Oh! Brother San! Meet my new brother! This is Brother Chen! And he is a Rank 40 Spirit Elder! Amazing, isn't it? He is only seven like us!”

Tang San stopped in his tracks when he heard his cultivation!

How can someone be that strong!? At such an age!

The pair looked at him strangely as Tang San had a strange look on his face. It was as if someone had slapped him…hard.

The boy was pretty sure he was special, as he was reincarnated and able to keep his memories and use his Tang Sect’s arts…

But here he meets someone who is 30 and ranks higher than him, at the same age, no less!

“Yes, and on top of that, Spirit Beasts love him!” The rabbit girl showed the Serval cat as she lifted it. The cat had an annoyed look but still mewed at the newcomer.

“...great…” Tang San forced himself to smile, which made his smile look extremely fake. Each time Xiao Wu said something great about her new ‘brother,’ it was like a slap to his face and a punch to the gut.

Xiao Wu smiled as she didn’t see through the fakeness of Tang San’s smile.

Instead, she continued to pour more fuel into the fire.

“I was thinking of getting something for your Master, as he has difficulty walking. That is why we got a walking stick for him!” The rabbit girl revealed a case with a stick in it. The stick looked exquisite—expensive!

The blue-haired boy looked touched that Xiao Wu had gotten something like this for his Master, who was struggling with ‘issues’... like pissing himself randomly…

“Thank you, Xiao Wu!” 

“Don’t thank me, Brother San. It was Brother Chen who bought it.”

“Yes. I heard he was having issues, even after I got the poison for you. So this might help him.” Bai Chen explained himself in a smooth voice, to which Xiao Wu smiled. She was happy that she got such a help! After all, she wanted to help, but she had no money.

Whatever happiness Tang San felt shattered as a piece of glass dropped on the floor.

Here it was again… 

Bai Chen helped him… it was the third time now! Tang San clenched his fist in self-loathing as he turned around and simply walked away.

“Brother San!?” 

Xiao Wu expected Brother San to be happy with the help, but it was the opposite! Why did he leave with such anger?

“Well, take the walking stick and run after him, Xiao Wu.” 

“R-Right! Thank you for your help, Brother Chen, and thank you for the gifts!” The girl hugged him all of a sudden before dashing away.

The gifts… well, Bai Chen bought anything the girl wanted, so yeah… He bribed her in a sense as well.

“Hmm… I suppose this could work too.” 

Bai Chen mumbled to himself as his cat returned to his lap and proceeded to snuggle. He thought if he dealt a critical hit to Tang San again…

“Brother San! Wait! Why are you running away like this!” Xiao Wu caught up with him. The girl was, after all, an agility type of Spirit Master.

“Xiao Wu, you can’t trust someone like that!” the blue-haired boy exclaimed in a snappy tone.

“Blindly? He saved you! He saved your Master! He helped your Master with poison! And spirit beasts trust him! His aura is kind! It's an extremely rare phenomenon!” Now, Xiao Wu has become angry with Tang San.

After all, she might call Tang San a brother, but she has known him for over a week, close to two weeks. She has not developed a strong bond with him yet.

The bunny girl through Tang San was a nice person. He had an aura similar to Spirit Beasts. She thought she could trust him! But now…

He showed this ugly side! Tang San was angry that someone had helped him! What kind of character is that!?

The girl snorted in anger.

“Fine! Then, be such an ungrateful brat! Consider yourself, not my brother anymore!” The girl declared with anger as she swiftly dashed away back to the academy.

From now on, she will not care about Tang San anymore!

“Xiao Wu! Don’t leave! Damn it!” 

The boy tried to stop her, but she ran away quickly. Her cultivation was higher, and she was quicker in general.

Tang San was also conflicted. The boy thought about chasing Xiao Wu, but then he decided that he could no longer wait. He needed to get the first ring.

He can’t stay behind that shadow cast by Bai Chen!

“...Rank 40… I will surpass you! It must be my destiny! Why would otherwise I would be here?” The blue-haired boy clenched his fist as he rushed towards the forest to get his first spirit ring! No more time-wasting. He needs power!

Just imagining Bai Chen being strong and looking down at him makes him burn with a desire for more power!

Not that Tang San realised that he was imagining things…

I smiled at the grape seeds that I got from the Branch of Spirit Hall. These are the regular green grapes. Well, more juicy ones than I remember. Well, it makes sense since Spirit Energy is in the air and the ground.

So everything tastes better. 

After making small holes in the dirt inside my Farmstead, I placed the grape seeds and then poured some of the pond water.

Once wet, I closed the hole and proceeded to the next one.

Before long, I was done, and by the time I was done, I could already see the grape sprouts coming out. The growth speed was impressive, as always.

“Well fuck.. Grapes are not like cherries… I think I will need some sticks to keep the grapes from growing all over the ground.”

I mumbled to myself as I recalled grapes in my past life growing at my grandmother’s place. Those were all over the ground after growing around the wall and beyond.

It was hard to access those with leaves and branches getting in the way.

After pondering the grapes, I pulled out a seed of fire apricot that I had bought at the auction house. It was a seed from a hundred-year apricot…
