Spirit Farm (DD) c7

“Well, Apricot is a fruit… So yeah… I suppose I will become a fruit farmer…” I joked to myself as I placed the seed of apricot in the dirt. Unlike the grapes, the apricot seed was quite big. It's almost as big as my whole palm. Well, it is, considering how small I am.

After placing the seed and pouring some water, I went back to my practice.

I might be Rank 40, and I want my other two wolves to grow before I use them as a ring. I still need to practise some of my wind techniques.

There is a form of satisfaction when it comes to shooting energy from my palms.

‘Didn’t that ‘Grandmaster’ tell about practising soul rings and energy without utilising Martial spirit merger? Yeah… I can practise that…’

For the remainder of the day, I practised shooting windballs and playing around with ‘Wind Invocation,’ the third-ring ability.

But then I recalled that I had the first ring ability, which was a slash move. However, utilising that one is awkward without a merger and long claws.

‘Wait… let me see if I can use my energy and maybe create wind without a ring ability…’

“Well, I will practise that tomorrow.”

I exclaimed with a tired voice as I looked around.

My eyes perked up as I saw green grapes and red apricots growing… As I feared, I needed some sticks for the grapes. They don’t have a strong trunk and don’t grow up. They need something to coil around.

“Ah….yeah, I got an idea.”

A small smirk appeared on my lips as I realised that I could cut those… I can practise my wind by cutting branches! 

Regardless, for now, I will keep those fire apricots there. I could use them to get a fire lady’s attention.

My scheming mind pondered who I could get!

But, for now, I returned to my hotel and proceeded to sleep. I was tired!

The next couple of days were quiet practice sessions. I went to the forest and got a bunch of thin branches, which I used to practise summoning wind-type spirit energy.

Apart from that, I was visited by Xiao Wu…

The girl found my location somehow… I don’t know if she has a sixth sense or something else, but she figured out where I was staying.

“Let’s do something~ I am bored~,” She said while sitting on my bed and complaining…

“Shit! She is here!” My eyes widened as I saw Bibi Dong’s carriage arriving in front of my hotel.

“W-Who?” The bunny girl exclaimed as she saw my reaction.

“Spirit Hall’s Supreme Pontiff! That woman will kill you!” As I said that, I grabbed her and pulled her into my farmstead.

Xiao Wu looked around as she saw my farmstead realm. Her eyes stayed on the apple trees, then on the Ah Yin… The girl looked mesmerised.

“...Whoa…”

“This is like the forest…”

“Stay here and cultivate while I deal with that troublesome woman,” I instructed her seriously.

“Okay!” She snapped out of her wonderment and then listened to me.

“Good, you can eat several of those apples if you want.” I motioned towards the apple trees and the golden purple apples growing on the branches.

“A-Are you sure? Those are potent fruits…” The bunny girl looked uncertain for a moment.

“Don’t worry about it.” I shook my head as I explained to her.

“They regrow quickly.”

“Great! Then I won’t hold back.” She grinned at me as the girl rushed towards the apple trees.

After seeing her snatch some apples from the trees, I looked outside. I saw Bibi Dong already sitting on the chair, and behind her were her minions.

With a sigh, I appeared in front of her.

“I did sense your aura and someone else.” The lady said that while crossing her legs, she looked slightly suspicious.

“Indeed. So, do you have a spider for me?”

She nodded. The rose pink-haired woman didn’t like my reply. I could see how her lips twitched for a second, but still, she motioned with her head for the minions to reveal a spider.

“It's a young and small spider. But it has the element I want.” She explained to me that the ‘ghost’ had revealed a small cage. The bars of the cage looked special, and the spider inside of it was black and green. It was a radiating light yellow aura.

“I can guess that it will take quite a while for it to reach a hundred thousand years.”

“Yes. But I can accelerate with fruits and herbs I can grow inside my farm.” 

“Good. I want you to keep me informed on the spider’s growth,” she said in a matter-of-fact tone while looking directly into my eyes.

"You do that, and I will assist you in whatever trades you desire… and if you want, I can keep whatever nuisance comes your way cleared. Like that incident in the middle of the street you had a couple of days ago.” 

She said the last part with a small smile.

“Oh, that? No, it's fine. I need those. They help me practise my powers.”

My reply made her confused.

“IF you wish to practise, then join the arena I can arrange that as well.”

“Maybe, when I reach Titled Duoluo. At this moment, I need to develop some techniques.”

“...”

“...”

“...”

The trio looked at me as If I was an alien.

Which I was…something they don’t need to know the details of.

“You are one strange youngster.” The Ghost said with a confused tone.

“Indeed.” Bibi Dong said with a strange smile.

“I haven’t met someone who would be so sure to reach a peak of what this world has to offer.” With a hand motion, the cage flew from Ghost Duoluo's hands and into mine.

“Do make sure it doesn’t evolve into something else. I request Darkness element spider.”

“Yes. To make it better, find me a fruit, herb or some plant which I could grow alongside it. Such a thing could improve the potency of your spider.”

As I explained to them, the spider noticed me. I undid the cage’s bars and let the spider into my Farmstead.

 “Those will be arranged for you.” She motioned for her minions to start looking for those.

The feminine-looking man left immediately.

“Now, that is out of the way. Tell me, are you truly Rank 40?” She asked with curious eyes.

“Yep.”

My rings manifested behind me. Showing one yellow and two purple rings.

“...Incredible.” The ghost couldn’t hide his emotions, the same as Bibi Dong.

“You skipped several hundred years with your second one. I can guess that the first one was over the 400-year limit as well.”

She pondered out loud as she looked at my spirit rings.

“But then I guess the limits don’t work on you~.” For a second, she showed her greed before it retreated.

“Good, continue with your cultivation. The stronger you are, the more I am at ease.” After saying that, she got up and proceeded to leave alongside her ghost minion.

“You don’t need to worry about me stopping cultivating,” I said with a small snort.

“I want you to arrange two Titled Duoluos watching him at all times. I want him protected. Do I make myself clear?” Bibi Dong instructed Ghost as she got into her carriage.

“As you wish, Supreme Pontiff. However, won’t it impact his opinion of us?”

“It’s not an issue. I want them to intervene at the last moment in case he is in true danger. But considering his speed of cultivation, this assignment won’t last for long.”

“I understand. Leave this assignment with this old man.”

“Good.”

The woman leaned into her seat as she recalled his spirit ring arrangement and his Martial Soul.

“A Ghost Wind Wolf… quite a spirit that child posses.” She mumbled to herself. With a spirit like that, he could potentially reach Rank 95 or above.

Without that farm of his!

But with that farm? 

“...Well, Well… we will see.” There was a strange look on her face as she had no idea what to think about his potential.

Well, the most important part is that their goals don’t clash because if they do… well, it will become ugly.

“Xiao Wu…” I looked at the girl, who looked like she stuffed herself with apples. The girl was snoozing under an apple tree.

“What a glutton,” I said with a sigh.

My gaze then went to the spider, which got comfortable inside the branches of one of the apple trees.

“I do wonder if the apple will inherit the darkness element?” I pondered out loud, but I was doubtful that the apple trees were tens of thousands of years old. At the same time, the spider was young, barely a couple hundred.

Regardless, after making the spider drink water and munch on apples, I returned to nurturing my wolves, my cat, and the snake, and then I returned to practising wind control.

“Ugh… my back is stiff~~~” Xiao Wu exclaimed as she slowly got up.

“Well, you fell asleep in the wrong position,” I said to her with a sigh.

“It can’t be helped! I got bored of waiting and eating!”

“Then cultivate.” I pointed out.

“You are a weak little rabbit,” I said with a sigh. 

“Oh yeah? Do you want to fight?” She clenched her fist as she was ready to pounce.

“Did you forget the part that I am more than twenty ranks above you?” I placed another stick close to the grapes and made it coil around it.

“Hah! With the number of apples I ate, my cultivation reached rank 15!”

She got ready for action.

**Sigh**

“Fine, come.” I motioned for her to attack.

I motioned for her to attack, and the girl rushed towards me.

Her single yellow ring manifested as she flipped and was about to capture me with her legs, but at that moment, my third ring glowed, and I simply moved out of her path.

“W-What!”

She ended up crashing into the dirt and rolling several times.

“You are not the only one with speed, little rabbit,” I said while turning to face her.

“Ugh!”

The girl lifted her head and looked at me with some dirt in her mouth. She spit it out before standing up with some annoyance. 

“I will remember that.” 

She then proceeded to attack with her leg kicks again.

I casually dodged all of her attacks as she quickly got tired, and I once again made her face plant into the dirt.

“Still want to try?” I asked her with a teasing tone.

“Ugh!!!” She lifted herself up and looked at me with growing anger.

“Not done yet!”

I rolled my eyes as I saw her dirty face. The girl looked like a farmer…

“If you insist on this, I will force you to work on my farm as you are starting to annoy me with your pointless endeavours,”

I said with a somewhat annoyed tone.

“...Okay.” she stood up and cleaned herself slightly, losing whatever anger she had.

“I don’t mind. I like this place. It makes me at peace, and it feels like home.” The rabbit said with a small smile.

‘So it works like that…’

I got a glimpse at the Farmstead's ‘evil’ side power. But then again, the girl is in trouble; this place will domesticate her into an obedient bunny.

“Good enough. The sticks that I placed into the soil should grow into trees at some point, and then I can use them as material to build a home.” I said to her while looking at the stick, which showed signs of becoming a small trees.

“Oh… You can build things?” she asked with a curious tone.

“Nope.”

“...”

“Then?”

“I will learn, obviously,” I said with an eye roll.

“...Since that is the case, I want to help!” She smiled as the girl cleaned herself up even more, removing dirt from her clothes.

“That's Good. Then we can start with getting more tree saplings.” I moved her and myself from the farmstead to the hotel room.

“Let’s go.”

“Right!”
